We lost a legend today, Forrest Wood

Just heard that Forrest Wood passed away today. He was a real legend here on the White river and the founder of Ranger boats and a great guy.

Just got the email from Johnny Morris on it.  Jerry McKinnis passed last year.  Ozark Greats..

I never met Forrest. However, I remember him from my youth. My father, and his friend/client Ovid Birmingham, went many places to fish. Great Bear Lake, Rainy and English Rivers in Canada, Eucha and Spavinaw in Oklahoma, and Bull Shoals. The White River below Bull was a once or twice a year destination. My father always told me about the trips with two guides when I was too young to go with him. Later, I was able to fish with my Dad and Charlie Fisher in Manitoba. I never got to fish with Dad and Forrest Wood. darn shame.

We loved taking our kids and grandkids on a drive thru his 101 ranch just down the road from us. Sometimes we would see over 200 deer and lots of turkeys.
