A large BBQ place in Springfield had a flue Fire in their Smoker.

The Fire Chief said people want to use Seasoned Wood.

????? If they was smoking wouldn’t they want Green Wood?

You can use either.

I think I would use a mix. I wonder if someone was there watching it.

It didn’t get to the Main Building which was good.

Im always worried about the Barrel Plant in town. They char them Barrels you can smell them for a long ways.

I got to thinking there probably was grease in the flue too.

I know we had Flue Fire on the Oven at the Bakery and it was all grease.

Just had my flue cleaned this fall.  Never gave it a thought for 17 years until my firefighter buddy told me to get it done..NOW.

The chimney sweep said it looked good for 17 years old.  But I burn well seasoned wood.

We clean our Flue every Fall and most it looks good other than the screen on the Cap.

We lived in a house that had a Flue Fire because the guy tried to keep the house at 70 degrees and never build a hot enough fire.
