Maverickpro201 Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Was wondering what the lake conditions are? Water Temperature? Clarity? Lake Level? Fishing? Going to go down on Tuesday thru Thursday this week staying at Nemo. Just wanting to catch a few bass.
Heretolearn Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 I was north of Lightfoot boat ramp and it was much muddier than I anticipated and it was as busy as the 4th of July or busier. Crappie fishing was very slow, but did catch several baby bass. There were at least 10 different boats water skiing in the 2-3 miles that I roamed. It is way too cold for me to swim, but I hope they had fun and not too many sunburns. There was a crazy amount of waves from the boat traffic. The middle of the week will hopefully be better in regards to boat traffic and waves.
Ranger520vx Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Won't be as busy as this weekend but will be plenty of boat traffic next week I'm sure. Last couple of weeks parking lots at the dang boat ramps have been full.
MOPanfisher Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Today will be quiet but guys yestrday, said it was nuts with people.
conman Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Was out Fri and Sat. Water is very murky down by Nemo, but much clearer (maybe 4 ft visibility ) up by the dam. Once you get up past about point 6 on the Pomme you get the same very stained, muddy, water. Bass were just not cooperating for us and most that we did catch were about 7 inches long.
Maverickpro201 Posted May 6, 2020 Author Posted May 6, 2020 What is the water temp and lake level as of today
Gumboot Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 1 hour ago, Maverickpro201 said: What is the water temp and lake level as of today 845.7, releasing 2980cfs, so it's dropping. Last weekend water very stained on Lindley side. Caught a limit of crappie casting jigs in front of brush, but had to work a lot harder for them than last couple of weeks. https://waterdata.usgs.gov/mo/nwis/uv?site_no=06921325 Alaskageek 1
Gumboot Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 River running 8000 cfs and creek 4000, shut discharge down to 500 last night, so if you like to fish on a rising tide...you'll like the next couple of days.
Gumboot Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 River and Creek running 21,800 and they've pretty much shut discharge down. Looks like Cristobol has moved east, but way the lake is rising, may be back to flipping bushes this weekend.
Gumboot Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Water temps 86 to 87 this week, pretty good stain to the lake and they're dropping it fast, 6 to 8" a day, releasing 3100 cfs. Fished early Sunday morning, if I was better at flippin, could have caught a boatload of them in the bushes. The way the lake's dropping that cover will be high and dry in next couple of days. Lots of floaters above P9, so be careful.
