My brother and I will be taking one of his grandkids to fish lower taney in a couple of weeks.  Looking for any info you're willing to share on what we should be trying, fishing mainly for bass and crappie.  Maybe some trout if they are to be found there as well.  staying at Edgewater Beach Resort for approximate locale we'll be fishing.

Wish I could help.... don't know much about the lower lake except I can't catch fish down there.  Water may be off all week so it might be easier to fish - water will warm up some on the main lake.

Is there a reason the water is off this afternoon? Doesn't make any since with the rain and dumping Beaver unless power demand is that low

Disregard, figured it out. The white is in flood stage throughout Arkansas so they can't run all this out of Bull Shoals. Bull Shoals is about full and Table Rock is the only one left that has capacity.

Treat it like Table Rock or any other bass lake. As you get near Powersite there is a big weed bed on the south side of the lake. Hit it with frogs and jigs. Hit the docks with a spook or anything you'd normally pitch to a dock. There are some giant largemouth to be caught.

Crappie--wouldn't waste your time unless you find a school.

Best thing to do with a kid is fish the slack water behind the islands for perch...not much for size...but there’s a slew of them
