MNtransplant
Looking for recommendations for decent bank fishing access. I have been pounding Taneycomo for the past month and a half and I'm looking to try something new. I'd like to target some smallmouth or goggle eye with the flyrod and ultralights. I have a good pair of chest waders but no boat. Also, i havent fished the James much, what are thes best baits to throw this time of year? Im guessing craw cranks, jigs, maybe a ned? I have some spinnerbaits and topwaters as well.. Thanks in advance! Feel free to PM me or share on the forum. God bless!
vonreed
It's tough to find good bank access that's worth the effort. Gotta get away from the access. But maybe you can do better.

But maybe you can do better. I've caught a bunch of good fish on the James fishing close to an access. My theory is that most people are in such a hurry to get away from the access that it really doesn't get much pressure. Sure you have the regular bank gang that won't get their feet wet but they are hurting much. Get in the water and wade around. When wading I usually try to head upstream. tjm
Flysmallie
Only problem is that right now it's all a little to much to be wading around very far. Bass Yakker
