Gumboot Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 Yep. Caught 5 channels in 2 short drifts 2 weeks ago, cut shad on a bottom bouncer. Kept 3 that were 2-3 lbs and threw back the bigger two. 15-20' flats near deep water. There are plenty of channels in the lake, but the bigger ones can taste muddy. Neighbor caught a 20 lb flathead same weekend. Now that was tasty.
MOPanfisher Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 I tried digging nightcrawlers a couple times for walleye thinking if nothing else I would catch a few channels, couldn't keep the little bass off of them.long enough to catch a channel. I used to know a few that drifted for them, most anymore will toss out some noodles and then bass/crappie fish for a while before running them.
Flysmallie Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 It’s been a while but used to have pretty good luck. Stockton is better.

Dutch Posted June 25, 2020 Posted June 25, 2020 All you need to do is rig an Elaztech worm shaky and you witt find flatheads. I am getting one every trip.
