Found them in 5-10' ft near a drop into 12-18'. They were stuffed  full of small Japanese beetles  and big pinkish purple color grub worms. Caught 55. Kept 18. Micro jigs fished on the bottom.

Fished from 7-12 both days. Finding a few largemouth with the buzzbait the first hour or two ,when that slows I switch to gills. The bass have been in 2-3' in the cover and right next to deeper water drops. Caught 7 today doing that. 5 the day before. 

Had to hunt for the gills even more than usual . Yesterday the small spinners were working  shallow in 2-5' over the top of brush and around standing tree trunks. Today found them cruising the banks in a foot of water in the shade, out to 12' near the bottom at the end of a bluff. Caught a yellow perch today too in about 7 fow on the bottom.

A lot of the bigger ones were really camouflage and orange colored. Water was fairly clear. 88°
