Just wondering what your thoughts are on finesse vs. regular jigs.
Finesse jigs seem to be a great choice when the bite is pressured. They get bit when the larger ones turn the fish off.

What  makes a good finesse jig besides a smaller profile? Sparsely ties strands, hook size and shape?

What rod size and strength? What line size do you use?

IMO the biggest advantage is how the finesse rigs fall with the lead pushed further down the shank. They are the best on rocky stuff and don’t tend to wedge like a conventional jig.

Gear wise, I use the same stuff I would for a 1/2 oz jig. It’s still a jig and needs a hook set to get through. I pitch them a lot
