Members captain belly Posted July 24, 2020 Members Posted July 24, 2020 Just wanted to share my bait tank and bucket filter build. I like to cast net for bait after work and load this baby up. By the time the weekend rolls around, I have plenty of live bait for MO river Cats. Hope this video may help others make their own. https://youtu.be/T2wqcMAPWVQ wily, bfishn, snagged in outlet 3 and 1 other 4
Terrierman Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 I used to do something similar with about 2/3 of a 55 gallon barrel and a bilge pump that I could use to fill or empty the tank from the river. Made a spray bar from PVC pipe too. Ice helps keep bait and so does rock salt. Used carp fingerlings from Taberville when we could get them - fingerlings meaning 5" to 7", bluegill/sunfish when we could catch them or goldfish in a pinch. Caught a lot of nice flatheads and blues on throw lines. Which I presume you know all about. Your rig is nice. That filter will get some biology going in nothing flat. Thanks for posting. captain belly 1
