JUNGLE JIM 1 Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 I've been indoors too much this winter and came up with a couple of new ideas for the Gamakatsu B10S stinger hooks. Why not some spinnerbaits and buzzbaits?I modified my Crappie spinner bait mold to take a buzz bait form and poured some #1,#2 and #4 stinger hooks in both sizes. I painted them and started tying. Here are just a few of the finished ones. First one is a twin spin version. The buzz baits weigh 1/4 oz. finished. Way to much indoor time on my hands. Third picture is a Possum Buzzer. nomolites, dpitt, Huntingducks117 and 3 others 6
nomolites Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 Nice! Those hair/zonker buzzers look wicked! Mike
JUNGLE JIM 1 Posted February 13, 2021 Author Posted February 13, 2021 The duck feather spinners in the second picture were actually poured on a Daiichi #4 streamer hook. Nice weather we are having, might have to make some more. BilletHead 1
nomolites Posted February 13, 2021 Posted February 13, 2021 I have been playing myself, but I am trying to K.I.S.S. and just refill my boxes. I give a lot away, and of course I lose my share. Been tying jigs(marabou and hair), nymphs, and some articulated streamers and waiting on a few supplies to arrive to finish up and maybe try a couple new offerings. Thought about getting some more jig molds but like everything else this last year there is nothing available that I would like. Truth is, I carry around a lot more gear than I ever use already....I just like tinkering. Mike BilletHead and kjackson 2
JUNGLE JIM 1 Posted February 13, 2021 Author Posted February 13, 2021 If you pour all your own jigs then I would suggest the crappie spin mold from Do-it. I buy my molds from Zeiner's and they have the spinnerbait forms as well. I fish from the bank or wade and I carry way more jigs than I need. If I don't have it with me that's when I want it. nomolites and timinmo 2
