I think I’ve decided to pass down my 10 year old Columbia rain gear to my nephew and buy a new rainsuit for this season. Anyone seen the SIMMS stuff for sale locally?

thanks,

BPS was carrying Simms. High dollar kit. Also not fat boy friendly, at least when I tried it on.

Trying it on is what I’m going for. I’m also hoping it’s the last rain gear I ever have to buy, if I decide to go ahead and spend my spot lock trolling motor/live sonar cookie jar on it... with the weather forecast for my spring break trip next week looking the way it is, rain gear is taking priority over new electronics.

Check Feathercraft fly shop.  And online fly shops if you know your size.  I bought a closeout Simms Gortex jacket for 40% off several years ago.

Obviously haven't worn it, for the aforementioned reasons, but I didn't see the Simms as an upgrade over my BPS set (not 100mph, think it's the PQ).

Since, I've added a Frabill set, which is great, except for short leg zippers. The outer material doesn't soak up water like some of the heavier suits will. Feels more like the high end Cabela's.
