Weekend fishing trip

I started a post earlier asking if fishing Bull shoals would be good with the lake rising. I’m glad I went caught some really nice fish. I got to Pontiac ramp or I think there was a ramp on Saturday about noon started fishing a cove near the state line caught 3 bass really fast a spot a smallmouth and a largemouth all on a bone colored spook. Then the sun came out and fishing got tough had to fish jigs and Ned to catch fish. I found it really hard to fish with bushes as deep as 16’ seemed to get snagged a lot and lost a lot of Ned jigs. Sunday we didn’t get out til late morning had some big rain come through during the morning fishing seemed tough. Monday was better went way up a big creek got into some good largemouth on top water then went and fished areas we had caught fish earlier caught my pb smallmouth 19.5” 4lb on a Ned rig. Which barely beat my other pb from Saturday. All in all good trip stayed at Cactus ridge resort very nice and updated rooms very affordable. Wish I would have packed food for Sunday night and Monday nothing was open close by. as
