jdmidwest Posted July 15, 2021 Author Posted July 15, 2021 Last fall after a big front and storm. Fished in a gusty north wind along a east/west bank that was sorta sheltered from the wind. Hit a pod of feeding fish and caught muskie, bass, white bass, and a crappie in the few hours I had to fish it. Stayed there after a trip to LOZ. Really liked what I saw, ready to go back this fall for a weekend. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
Dutch Posted July 15, 2021 Posted July 15, 2021 So I assume that you know that a lot of the coves especially up Lindley are covered with timber just under the surface like Haverstick, the Doc Bailey coves and Cooper’s Cove.

I have heard that. The cove I fished was that way also, you can see it in the pic. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
Dutch Posted July 15, 2021 Posted July 15, 2021 That's interesting about the plastic. I've never really been able to catch bridge fish on plastics.

Bounce a tube jig or swim bait up against the pier and let it fall. Cast past the down stream side and let it sink some then set the hook. Its structure in a current, it usually hold bait and fish. We do the same on walls and mooring piers. Sometimes a big one will hang out there. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
