jdmidwest Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 It would be tight in a kayak below Montauk to Baptist. Most riffles are only knee deep at best. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

Yeah, I would call the riffles closer to ankle deep in normal summer flows, and studded with rocks. I've done it plenty of times in a canoe, but I didn't float every riffle cleanly. No way I'd even think about taking a johnboat with a motor up there whether I used the motor or not. It's either too low or it's too fast and tight. Terrierman 1

jdmidwest Posted August 1, 2021 Posted August 1, 2021 Parker Access is below Ashley Creek. The Old Parker Family Homestead. Access off YY south of Montauk "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
Members kbbgood Posted August 4, 2021 Author Members Posted August 4, 2021 Then I'm sure I can find it. And I can use my jet boat there? 60\40 jet. I've seen outfitters above ackers have jets back in the day picking up stranded people that tore up canoes.
jdmidwest Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 Parker is in the restricted zone. Anything above 2 Rivers where Jacks Fork runs in is 25 hp or less. Big Springs to 2 Rivers, Max 40 HP all year. Below Big Spring, Rocket Ships are allowed. Above 2 Rivers, 15 Hp or 25 Hp depending on season. Parker is marginal water for floating. I would not run a jet boat there in normal summer flows of any size to fish. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
