I can’t really tell from the image.  It is just to the East of the campers ramp.  Sometimes it is an island and sometimes it is a peninsula depending on the water level.  With the lake down it is probably a peninsula now.

Dutch,

is this the little island you referenced?

That is the island/peninsula Dutch was talking about.  Has a long saddle running NNW from the isand that's typically 5-10ft deep but with water this low it might only be 2-3ft. One of my favorite spots on that arm of the lake, especially at night.

Picture i added is maze.

Many years ago I went out on Stockton when the wind was blowing pretty good.  Probably sustained winds in the 20 mph Range and gusts in the 30's.  I was headed to the main lake out of Orleans Trail and a sail boat was headed to the marina.  It's mast was broken off and dragging in the water.  When I hit the main lake my eyes got as big as saucers.  My Skeeter handled it, but I'll never do it again.

With the wind forecast for Stockton tomorrow, be very careful.  That lake can get pretty rough.  Here is the National Weather forecast for Friday:

Friday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. Southwest wind 11 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph.

Thanks for the heads-up Skeeter.

Dutch mentioned the same, I have only been down a few times (seems like the wind is always blowing down there lol) and every time I have put in at Hawker Point. Decided this go around to put  in either at Stockton Lake State Park or Crab Tree Campground to avoid crossing the main lake. I grew up on the water in Jersey and have spent quite a few nail biting days wondering why I went out lol. I have a 17’ center console, she displaces the water pretty good and keeps me pretty dry in rough water.

You should be fine.  Watch the direction of the wind and pick points that are on the down wind side.

That first island at Masters and the bluffs north of it have produced for me in the fall.

Thanks Jmidwest,

I was just looking at the foundations marked on the hot spot maps. Bringing some jigging spoons, bottom bouncers, jigs and if anyone is open try to get some minnows and maybe even try a little balloon fishing. Breaking it all out lol.

I have been there a few times with a lifer that has been fishing it for 40 years.  He likes the area around the State Park and that Island near Masters.  As a fallback in wind, I would hit Ruark Area as it runs from east to west.

You have high sides on the boat, you should be fine.  But nobody likes to get beat up in the wind.
