I will dig up the photos I took of the access...

I do remember you had to drive thru a field to get to the river.

Dodging cows it he dark... it was a blast!

Anyone else remember that access ?

anyone else fish Norfork tailwater far below the dam ?

Just once I wish a trout would wink at me!

The lady at the trailer house was a trip, told me I was a dummy for parking under the walnut tree (walnuts were falling). I can't remember if it was $ 2 or 3 to fish there but a bargain for sure and a great fishing hole, days gone bye!

Last time I went there is was 2-3 dollars and the field was muddy! I remember the first time the water was off and I caught my first brown of that river in the Ace hole. That same trip saw my brother go for a swim right downstream from there! He was wading and stepped off a ledge he thought was only a couple of feet deep.  lol Good memories there.

I went right before they closed it and it was $5 and super was crowded.  She told me they were closing and selling because the property tax was killing them and they couldn't afford it anymore.  I own a piece of land on the White on buffalo shoals so I can now understand her pain, although they had alot more land than I do so I can't imagine what their property tax was.  That was a great place and if I want to wade there I now make a long walk from Ackerman access up that direction.  Seems that walk gets longer every year I get older.

I thought they still owned it?  The sold the property by the upper shoal back then I believe.

But I'm not around there enough anymore to have any real time info.  Great place though eh??!!
