Fish24/7 Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Fished 8:15-1pm.Got an earlier start this trip. Netted the first fish on the fifth cast of the morning. (1/24 oz jig and soft plastic) Then caught another 13" soon after but then the bite got really slow when the sun got high over the trees behind me and the very few clouds left. The water was very calm wind wise. Fished for almost 3 hours without a fish but I knew the crappie were probably still there because the shad were all around showing themselves earlier in the morning. It wasn't until the wind kicked up, like it was blowing the other day , and that got them biting again. Had heavier line this time and a stronger rod and only lost 2 fish. Caught 9 total. No giant ones this time. Have yet to catch a crappie under 12". Not 1 short Fish! (Same depths and pattern as before) nomolites, MOPanfisher and bfishn 3
