kjackson Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 I have two fly lines that really need to be adopted. The first is a Scientific Anglers' Lefty Kreh WF5F--$25 TYD. The other is a Scientific Anglers' Sharkskin Ultimate Trout Taper DT4F--$40 TYD. Buy both, and it's $55. Both lines are new, unused, unspooled and any other "un" that says they're basically as perfect as when I received them. dpitt 1
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 I am not very fluent in fly lines. What would these be used on? Size of rod, style of fishing etc? I need new line, but don't know how to purchase it. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me) I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)
nomolites Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 The “weight forward 5 weight floating” is a good all around line for a 5 weight rod. The “double taper 4 weight floating” is a good line for dries and delicate presentations. Sometimes you can go up or down a line weight on a rod depending on its casting characteristics/action. kjackson Posted May 25, 2022 Author Posted May 25, 2022 I've answered Daryk's PM, so we're good there. Pending on the sale of the lines.
kjackson Posted May 27, 2022 Author Posted May 27, 2022 Well, the two lines above won't work on Daryk's rod, so they are still available.
