MOPanfisher Posted June 28, 2022 Posted June 28, 2022 Hybrids (tomatoes) usually are more resistant to blight and other diseases, and have more consistent fruit size. But there is no free lunch, generally they don't have the flavor if the old ugly ones. I usually have at least 3 or 4 different varieties, some heirloom some hybrid. Best producers are always those little wild type cherry tomatoes that want to come up as volunteers in compost pile or elsewhere. They produce any annoying amount of little maters.
