During our first day of physics in HS the teacher placed a paint can on the lab bench. He pulled off a piece of tape from the bottom and the lid of the can. He lit a lighter and a small flame appeared when he waved it above the hole in the lid. It burned for a bit and we all began to ignore it. About 5 mins and BOOM! the lid blew off and hit the ceiling. That got everyone's attention😉. He had filled the can with propane and once the gas and the oxygen within the can were equal that set off the explosion. 

 

While I was working on a degree in physics we had a lot of fun "getting people's attention". Some of those were painful, things that shouldn't have burned in fact burned, threats of people being kicked out, and plenty of electrical shocks for everyone. I can't believe we all made it through all that and graduated. Oh yeah!! We didn't!
