Because they paid a stupid amount to have it replaced a couple years ago, and the very first flood shifted it.  They want the contractor to come back and fix it.....but the contractor is saying "NO, we built it exactly they way that you insisted, and we're not coming back and fixing/replacing it for free everytime a tree branch bumps it".     The engineer suggested that they alter the location of the bridge to a less necked down area of the stream and elevate it some, but noooooo......it had to stay RIGHT THERE.

I was wondering because they was to build a bridge heavy enough for a Firetruck then I seen what they  did.

OK it takes 5 minutes more to come in the other way but 5 minutes can seem like hours when waiting on an Ambulance.

Finally they are to replace the bridge over 64HWY it has been unsafe for years but they couldn't agree on shutting it down.

The bridge I wanna see replaced is that skinny little POS on 64 just outside of Lebanon.   I've almost clicked mirrors with people on that thing multiple times.

I'm surprised there isn't an accident there every day.

Your Sunday plan sounds pretty solid. After church, I always crave some outdoor time, so hitting up the park is a must. It's like a mini getaway.

But man, it's a bummer about the Wooden Bridge being shut down. I'm not entirely sure why, but my guess is it's probably due to some maintenance work or repairs. Better to have it sorted now than risk any accidents later on.

I heard that bridge is getting replaced mid-March.  👍

Construction to begin just after opening day of the regular trout season.

Are they replacing with another wooden bridge?

They need a pull ferry like in The Outlaw Josey Wales. Just tie it up in high water. Cheap.
