Launched late, at 3. Didn’t get a sniff around Masters. Moved around the point and caught a white, LM, and a 19” walleye. Pretty slow almost 2 hours. 
 

Did something i have never done, and went to lip the LM with a jerk bait treble in his mouth, and got one of them sucked down in my thumb. One of the few times i had a buddy with me. Cut the ring, hooked on a string, and a quick yank and done.

I finally bought a Boga grip and learned to use it to hold every fish. Even the small stinkers can sabotage you.

That is the one thing I hate about jerkbaits are all those sharp hooks flying around when dealing with a fish.  I have started mashing down the barbs on the front treble.
