@Ketchup,

 Hey buddy I ran upon this at a garage sale this morning. Very interesting and in great shape. You are the only one that I thought of that might be interested in it. Thought I would pass it on.

That’s an oldie for sure. Some of the older racing pigeon guys still have them as nostalgia. Pretty cool find at a yard sale. Thanks for sharing.  Us roller guys just use our stopwatch on our phone.

  I figured you might like the share. Vintage is always good.

A buddy of mine from KC is over in England judging that country’s roller fliers for a few weeks. Today they had some down time so released some homers 250 miles away.  Here is the updated version of the one you posted.  You can see todays date and the time they were released and the time they made it back home and trapped.

Math wasn't my best subject, and I must be reading that wrong.  1 hour 23 minutes 8 seconds to go 250 miles?

Sorry about that, those english use kilometers, so 155 miles in just over an hour is correct.

Pigeons can fly at altitudes up to and beyond 6000 feet, and at an average speed of 77.6 mph. The fastest recorded speed is 92.5 mph.

Some racing pigeons have been known to sustain a velocity of 93.75mph over distances as far as 420 miles!

 112mph sounds wrong,  or a new record? that time would be pretty good for 200km
