DADAKOTA
How will the higher water temps for this time of year impact the spawn for bass and crappie? I know water temp and photoperiod trigger the spawns. Local KC area lake I fish will hit 50 degrees by the end of the week if it isn't there already. Way ahead of normal for the 2nd week of March. Will the spawn stay the same or be early this year? trythisonemv
Dutch
All I know is that the water temps 2’ down were 53-55° on Table Rock yesterday. The big female spots have disappeared. I’m guessing that they are in a pre spawn holding pattern some where.
Ryan Miloshewski
Photoperiod plays a role, not just WT. My guess is it'll be a staggered spawn for everything, which I am seeing with walleye and white bass now. Some will go early (or in this case already have), others normal time, and some later. Female walleye I've caught all had different stages of egg development, which was wild. trythisonemv 1 “To those devoid of imagination a blank place on the map is a useless waste; to others, the most valuable part.”--Aldo Leopold
