AR Huzgr Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Haven't been out in about a month it seems with vacation, busy with a new Tritoon to use with grandkids, etc... but ended up being a great walleye day. Went out mid lake for walleye. Stopped by H L &S and bought dozen crawlers. Figured I'd go through them pretty quick then go find some bass. I ended up getting 9 walleye, 2 cats, 1 drum, 1 fat K, and a big bluegill. All but one caught with those dozen crawlers. Pretty good worm to fish ratio! 4 walleye were keepers with biggest at 3lbs. Rest were mostly 16-17 inch range. Fished main lake structure. First spot got one within 5 minutes so thought it was on. Nothing more first hour. Moved to spot 2 and got 3 more. Tried a new area that I've been eyeing and got 5 there so pleased to find a new spot for future. Most caught on silver smile blade crawler harness at 26-28 ft. Water temp 84. Was nice and cool to start with east wind that switched to NW wind about 10:00. Lance34, McguirePat, top_dollar and 6 others 9
Quillback Posted August 8 Posted August 8 That's awesome, you're going to have me out there dragging crawlers if you keep that up. 😀 AR Huzgr and bfishn 1 1
AR Huzgr Posted August 8 Author Posted August 8 I used some spinner harnesses that were tied by my uncle, who passed away this summer, so that was kind of nice. His kids (my cousins) fish walleye tournaments up on Columbia River. Quillback 1
