Members Toby Estes Posted May 12 Members Posted May 12 Bass fishing is still good. Still finding plenty of fish up shallow in the bushes. The only thing a little different is I found some submerged vegetation in above 5-6 feet of water that was loaded with fish. It was a little harder to fish , but once I found the right bait I was able to catch a bunch. The right bait for me was a zoom ultravibe speed worm. Started out with a junebug then switched to watermelon red when it got sunny. We mainly just ran from pocket to pocket looking until we found the submerged bushes. Some pockets would only have a few, but we still caught at least 1 or 2. I did see some bedding fish, but didn’t try them. The bigger bushes half in and half out of the water are getting fished pretty hard now. We did fish some of them the last couple hours of daylight and did ok. Bigger fish came from the submerged stuff. Still getting bites on a rage menace and rage bug. Flysmallie, Daryk Campbell Sr, dpitt and 4 others 7
Flysmallie Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Sounds like a good time to throw a floating worm and spinnerbait. Stockton is one of the best spinnerbait lakes in the country.
