Bill Babler Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago If your watching here is what your going to get on TR within 3-5 years. Yep, let’s start killing all the 12” bass so we can catch 10” bass With the amount of forage we have here it’s totally lunacy to kill all these young fish. And we sure as H-ll know they are not dying before they get to 15”. Head scratcher at best. snagged in outlet 3 1 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
snagged in outlet 3 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago I wonder how many will be caught and kept on trot lines and jugs. I see them in backs of a lot of coves. I’m tempted to check them but I think it’s illegal to mess with them. I’m always curious to see what they are catching. BTW, bow fishing tournament this weekend.
Bill Babler Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago Ya, the Bow guys have been out up here at SK the last several nites. Man those lights are bright. They illuminate our entire subdivision from dark to morning light. snagged in outlet 3 1 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
bferg Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Bill, question for you: I mainly fish up the white around Big M and Eagle Rock. It does feel like that part of the lake is absolutely overrun with short spots. In your experience: is that new or are there more than there used to be? I do think the comparison to beaver is a little apple to oranges. Beaver has just never held a candle to TR. At least not in the last 20 years. Totally unscientific and just an observation: I have caught more quality LM and SM on Beaver this year than I have in a long time. And fewer spotted bass…. Again, that is nothing more than an observation from a casual angler - but it has been noticeable. snagged in outlet 3 1
Bill Babler Posted 13 minutes ago Author Posted 13 minutes ago Jeff might be a better person to address that to as he is up there probably the most. I haven’t fished past Emerald Beach in a couple of months, but I will tell you between Campbell point and Cedar creek, in the last 10 days I’ve caught 100 plus keeper K’s. As most of you know I’m not for the most part a go down a bank guy. The spotted bass I’ve caught are prespawn and deep. I really think how a person fishes plays a role on size and numbers. I love to catch spotted bass in the 12plus inch size they fight well and I enjoy catching them. I just most often target the bigger ones and most of them live off shore. The spotted bass on TR and Beaver are just not totally up yet as you saw yesterday if you watched MLF. The SM are still spawning on both lakes. The Spots will start showing up really quickly. Now they are sitting out there waiting. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
