Danoinark Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 It would be nice to read a report from last nights meeting? Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Dave Cook Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 I would hate to see any dredging if they do it like they do in the trout parks. The job they have done there is like taking a chainsaw into surgery. Now doing something to help the DO, that would be a great benefit. Dave Cook Missouri Trout Fishermen's Association - Kansas City
Gavin Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Has the spot below the dam filled in with gravel or has it just gotten wider and shallower over time? The presence of the dam would seem to eliminate the potential for new gravel and sediment to wash in from the lake. Maybe they need to add gravel and sediment to make the channel narrower and deeper. As for gravel removal..digging at the base of a dam just seems like a bad idea to me. Cheers.
