Any Winter Trips To Bennett Planned?

They do have electric. I assume it's on but sometimes it gets shutoff at the main junction if no one is there. Better check with the owners. The water system is drained for the season. You have to go to a restroom to get water.

I think I need to tell my wife I'm going on a weekend business trip. Does the line ever work?

Anyway, I'm off work from Dec 22 - Jan 3. I hope I can make it down for at least one day. I need some one to teach me the correct way to fish streamer. I catch the trout all day long on nymph, but the streamer thing just doesn't work for me.

Whoever goes when please post when you're heading down. Maybe some of us can get together. I have been staying at the Bennett Springs Inn for 40 bucks if I stay overnight. Hot shower and warm bed is nice.

The Inn was closed when I went down for the Open weekend of C&R. Larrys and Sand springs where both open tho they where both full with deer hunters and My FFclub.

I'm with RC - if someone plans a trip; post the date and we all can see about meeting up. My schedule's a bit full with the holidays, but a quick day trip is not out of the question.

Oops! I didn't know they were closed. I went down for 1 day last month and really did not check. Fishing is done at 4 so I was home by 7:30. We'll all keep in touch.

I'm hoping to keep on top of this thread. PM me when any of you decide to go. I'm busy, but I live in Springfield, so I can usually get away for a quick trip. My usual fishing buddy has a problem with his hands cracking and bleeding in the cold, so it prevents him from going with me in the winter. That means I'm looking for winter fishing partners.

Just FYI. I'm planning on going down Monday, Jan 14th for a day on the stream. weather looks good so far. As long as nothing drastic happens over the weekend, I'm going.
