snagged in outlet 3
I don't want to bash anybody needlessly but the food was horrible yesterday 12-28-07. All three of ordered a burnt end dinner. My side salad came frozen, literally. The cherry tomatoes were frozen hard as a rock. Our burnt end plates came loaded with fries that weren't cooked fully. They were mushy and just warm. After a couple minutes on the plate they were soggy with grease. They apparently haven't seen what burnt ends are because they brought out cubed, pot roast with a very bland BBQ sauce. I couldn't eat my food at all. I had 3 fries and small bit of the boiled meat. Very disappointing after a cold day of fishing. Sorry. SIO3
jjtroutbum
I have had good food there before . But I think sometimes all cooks just get bored, lazy, or other wise off there game in general. And if I feel that any of those things are the case. I will send the food back. To serve something that you would not eat that is not excusable if they are professionals. Besides If no one complains then nothing ever changes. However if I am not going to be able to find something or someplace else to eat. I will be very careful about how I do it. I don't want any extras. If you know what I mean. Jon Joy ___________ "A jerk at one end of the line is enough." unknown author The Second Amendment was written for hunting tyrants not ducks. strangercreek
nothing worse than a burnt end sandwich that is not cooked properly or even worse, full of fat. That has happened to me at Gates in KC a couple of times (otherwise great BBQ). It is just luck of the draw I guess.
Gavin
I'd recommend Missouri Hick BBQ in Cuba. I almost always stop for ribs to go on my way back to St. Louis and I've never been disappointed. The restaurant at Sand Spring would be my choice for ribs down at Bennett. Cheers.
