My buddies are down this week from Omaha. They were on the water yesterday, north end, and had a blast. Probably a top ten day, beautiful water, caught a little bit of everything. They're enroute to the south end, probably Mutton Creek, to give that area a try. Good luck boys! Enjoy the lake and the area! www.drydock516.com
  2. Buddy of mine works in the LaVista Ne. store. They were testing the X-50 on a spring scale vs Vicious. Said the X-50 was worse (can't imagine). The 8# was breaking @ 3#....but keep in mind the line was dry too.

Pay attention to the posts from the last few days from the guys that have been on the water, especially Bob Bennett. Here's a place to stay on the north end. Booked this next week, I've got a couple of buddies coming down too, but if you ever head back down give me a shout, OAF members get a price break. http://www.drydock516.com/
  4. Common sense- Plain ordinary good judgement; sound practical sense. Self-preservation- Preservation of oneself from danger or injury. .....and thank you for your service. www.drydock516.com
  5. My kids are more than willing to test our inflatable pfd's.......yupper, you got that right. The proof is in the inflation! I recharge every 2 seasons regardless. Never had one not inflate but there is that possibility, pretty low % I would think....hope. There are visual tests you can do on the cylinder too.
  6. http://www.boat-ed.com/mo/handbook/pfds.htm Has to be available 'readily'.... Usually we put ours on the back of the seat when fishing, on when motoring.
  7. R Roger that. Time and again it seems like some one has to drown early in the year before folks get it through their thick skull. The 245 bridge last summer had about the same markings it sounds like but it was possible to go under it. What's changed or were we all in violation? Longer span maybe?
  8. Sweeeeet! They're definitely in there Huck. Got a couple buddies coming down to our place in a couple of weeks. When I asked them what type of boat they had they said "floating rafts". Not certain what that means but they're coming down for walleyes so hopefully they know what Stockton presents. www.drydock516.com
  9. I wish....I pass acid rain for two days anymore if it's too spicy.
  10. Like Tim, I'm out. Pulled the hook out. Fresh popcorn awaits.
  11. Stepped right into socialism issues, good grief. As the superpower that IMO we should be, your issues are covered, we take care of our own. The system is corrupt and is easily corrupted by those with an entitlement mentality and those that pork barrel. Getting rid of those would vastly improve (not eliminate) cash flow issues and allow some of your sacrosanct agendas to be taken care of...... Which takes me back to follow the money. The machine is broke, granted, but I refuse to apologize to anyone for the US of A.
  12. I don't think race extinction is on anyone's political agenda in the USA.
  13. Huck would probably say......"When I hooked it!" www.drydock516.com
  14. Hmmmmm......the next time my wife drags me into Victoria's Secret it will be with a new dimension for me!
  15. R Call it however you will..... But it's part of the 'super power' nomenclature that I for one do not want to play second fiddle to anyone.
  16. Imagine the un-employment numbers if we did that. Not to mention the military contractors who build all of the weapons, uniforms, and various other support. Follow the money........it' s not going to happen. www.drydock516.com
  17. Prayers for all. Fingers and toes crossed as a backup plan. Most importantly be safe, things can be replaced.
  18. That wouldn't be so good, straw, but mother nature does have the upper hand.... she humbles us every now and then.
  19. I talked to Bob today, really tough out there for crappie, at least for us. Bass were okay but this wind and fronts are jackin' with us. The wife wants to go to Springfield tomorrow......might just sleep in and do that. www.drydock516.com
  20. Roger that, tough day Sunday. The kids are going out this evening, my wife and I maybe tomorrow. Depends on the timing of the cold front. www.drydock516.com
  21. Terrible day on the lake. Windier than heck. A bunch of shorts. 2 keeper crappie, 1 bass. Oh well, we're on vacation.......it's all good!
  22. What's up with our wives buying us shirts with messages?? Mine got me one that says 'Does not play well with others'..... Go figure. www.drydock516.com
  23. You must be confused Thunderin..... You must be confused Thunderin..... You must be confused Thunderin..... follow the ball. You must be confused Thunderin.....
  24. Then the weekend will be a zoo....Although I heard the bite died off dramatically already. www.drydock516.com
  25. Mike and JBE, how do you like those boats? I finally decided to quit trailering mine everywhere so I might get rid of the Alumacraft. Nice boat but likes to beat the wife up on rough days on Stockton. I've always had an aluminum walleye boat and I suppose over the years we saved quite a bit on gas but my hind end says it's been a long day more often than I like anymore. www.drydock516.com
