Bass are being caught on A-rigs and jigs. They are suspended and very hard to pinpoint. You can go to a place similar to where you caught them and not get a bite. It's tough out there. Is there still ice around Hickory area or is it gone?

If anyone ever needs a car fixed,needs to buy a rig or needs accessories give me a call. I have a bunch of connections. I saved my cousin $2000 on a car deal yesterday. They live in Kansas City and bought a car down here.

I sold cars for years. Ha. My philosophy was to never lie to people and be up front. I probably lost money being that way but at least I could sleep at night.

I'm not affected either way. I just roll my eyes and go on. 5 years ago I would have probably done the same if I could have afforded it. The older I get the less I care what others think. I'm not out there to impress anyone but myself. A wise friend of mine told me years ago. The older you get the smaller your circle gets. Meaning , you find out over time who really matters and who doesn't. My apologies if I come across negative. Just stating my observations.

You are the farthest from the people I'm talking about. You respect your sponsors and fulfill your obligation with class and dignity. Need more people like you out there. Much respect.

The matching shirt deal with the wife is totally different deal. Her reasons for wanting to do it are not the same. I say do it if it makes her happy.

I get where Champ is coming from. I fish Bfl series and these guys act like they are seasoned pros. I wear t-shirts and hats as well. That is a far cry from a sublimated jersey with sponsors all over it and name on their back. It's more the way they act than how they dress. You can almost always tell the difference between someone who is legitimately sponsored and who is not. The guys who are treat it with respect and a sense of responsibility to make good on those who sponsor them. Those who aren't are easy to spot. I refer to them as "That Guy".

Several major company's pulled the plug on sponsorships shortly after Bass Pro announced the purchase of Ranger. Is this a coincidence? Chevy,Straight Talk and other companies dropped out last minute and left anglers scrambling for sponsors. Anyone else have insight on the matter? Like to hear from someone who really knows what's going on.
