I do fish more in the mid lake area than i do by the dam. I would think same rule applies.

Hey Quill, when the mid morning bite has been shutting off I have been finding fish around docks that are on bluff walls near or on channel swings. If there is cover close even better. Been catching them with a 1/2 oz jig with a hula grub trailer in green pump/purple/copper flake. Not catching big ones, but there are definitely some keepers mixed in. It has been a couple of weeks since i have fished, but this has been working for me since fall.

Power Pro Braid 65lb on A-rig. 14-20lb Floro for jig or Heavy Cover BPS mono 10lb for jerk and crankbait BPS mono 14lb for spinnerbait and topwater Power Pro 15-30 lb braid with 8lb floro leader on dropshot.

I have heard good things about those staysees. You might check out Jackal squirrel. I have heard good things abot them as well. As far as when to use the deeper ones I am curious myself. I can only assume when the water is coldest and they are suspended reall deep.

Caught ours with Spinnerbait,crankbait and a jig Champ. Wiggle wart got one bite for us. Our biggest came on spinner early. I cuaght 2 that were both around 2.5-3lbs right when the sleet started with a jerkbait. Didnt get a hit on it after that. Jig was the main bite getter. We lost a few thoughout the day and had several good bites that wouldnt hook up. Wish we could have seen what we missed. Might have made a little more money. Less than a pound seperated 3rd thru 6th. I have no problem sharing info. I want everyone to catch em. Specific colors, spots and techniques i will keep to myself though:-)

Guys Im not sure how the other guys caught em, we came in 6th place and we caught them on a jerkbait,jig and spinner bait. Could not get em to bite a crank bait. Got maybe 1 bite all day on a wiggle wart.
