  1. You sold me on SI. I can't wait to get one. Oh yes! It will be mine. I could look at that stuff all day and not get tired of it. The Pros swear by them. Says it eliminates unproductive water so much faster. I was watching the Bassmaster tournament that was in Tenn. KVD said that the school of fish that he found was not holding to anything and he would not of found it without SI. Awesome.
  2. Looks like I wasn't the only one who struggled this weekend at the rock. I fished Saturday morning out of Aunts Creek and the James a little. Everything that shold have worked didn't. Wind waas blowing like crazy. One would have thought a blade would have worked perfectly, but to no avail. I was kicking up a lot of minnows when I was throwing the blade but no fish were with them. I caught one dinker kentucky on a white Buzzbait early and one keeper SM under a dock on a U=lock football head with a Fighting Frog trailer and that was it. I tried everything. Felt like I had no idea what to use that morning.
  3. I live in Bentonville, Ar and I will be there in the morning. I'm so pumped up I don't know if I will be able to sleep. I waas thinking Aunts Creek. Has anyone been in that area? Sounds like I need a Spinnerbait for sure. I will probably be in Aunts creek and JAmes River area. I will be in a 91 Ranger 492v Maroon and Gray with a Yamaha on back. I will be lookin for you guys. Thanks for the Reports guys. See you on the Rock.
  4. It should be the same. You can definetly tell the difference between stripers and other fish. A lot more violent. If you use a wieghtless Fluke or a Scrounger head with a Fluke on it and throw it in around those Stipers I guarantee you they will hit it.
  5. Did you say Beer? I'll be right over! Where are you located? I will try to find you next time I'm on the Rock. Love to meet fellow members.
  6. That boat is awesome. Don't sweat the stigma of having to have a bass boat to fish for bass. Who ever thinks that way is narrow minded anyway. If it floats and goes you are good to go.
  7. For what its worth I read an article the other day about Fall fishing and they were talking about using small spinnerbaits like the mini Strike King for example. I think this would work on the Rock too. I noticed all the minnows that were surfacing were pretty small, in that 2-2 1/2 inch range. I never thought to use something that small, always thought of those as a pond lure ,but I will be trying this technique soon to see if it works. They were using light line and open face reels(light lure easier to throw)and say they were very succesful using this method. I think all the fish are staying deep or in the shade and probably relating closer to the main lake than in the backs of coves and creeks. Lack of rain and any current what so ever is keeping fish toward the main lake areas. IMO. Hope this helps.
  8. Those guys are so good and prepaired it doesn't matter when they are here. They will catchem.
  9. Bill. I was in the Eagle Rock and Owl Creek area saw alot of the same balls of baitfish and I was tearing them up with a Zoom Super Fluke. I do it a little different than most. I get a Gamakatsu Super Line hook in 5/0 and rig it with the new Disco Violet color. The color is sort of clear with purple flakes in them. The reason I use these hooks is two fold. I can cast them a lot farther and they sink faster. You can throw them around the baitfish with an erratic retrieve and those bass will absolutly hammer it. I'm going this Sunday to the same area and I am going to try same technique with 1/16oz wieghted hooks. I'm hoping this will keep the Fluke from popping out of the water during retrieve. Last year about this same time around the Kimberling area on a long flat point I caught a SM that wieghed 5 lbs 1oz on an Excaliber Jimmy silver with black back. Caught SM,KY and LM that day. That was one of my best days ever fishing and it was the day I fell in love with Table Rock. I hope this helps you Bill. Lord knows you help us as much as you can and I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say that we greatly appreciate everything you do for OAF.
  10. Hey Bill. I saw your picture in the latest In-Fisherman. Congrats. Did they approach you or did you go to them for advertising? Either way you are a celebrity. Thats awesome!
  11. I have always heard there are three colors you must have: 1: Green Pumpkin 2: Green Pumpkin 3: Green Pumpkin
  12. Love that stuff. Thanks. Nice Fish!
  13. I fished around Eagle Rock and Owl Creek area about a week and a half ago. I did well as far as numbers go but no big fish. You could have caught Kentuckys all day on a Fluke or a Topwater rig. I think the big ones are still deep. They will be up very soon.
  14. Never thought of that but you are exactly right about that one. They need signs at the ramp that tell you about that before you launch. I bet there are plenty of people who have been ticketed for a wake and had no idea. Great observation.
  15. Get well soon Champ. God Bless.
  16. That's awesome
  17. They were bitng pretty much all night. Caught most of my fish before dark.
  18. I was in a jackpot tournament out of Prairie Creek last night. I thought I did good with my 9.05lbs until the guys that won it wieghed in 19.65 lbs. Big bass went 6.40 so you can imagine the rest of their limit. Impressive.
  19. I see those things in Ft.Smith all the time. I go there once a week for business and they are always flying around. When I was in basic training at Ft. Leonardwood those things would make runs across the battle field area using their mini guns. They would shoot at tanks and it sounded like really loud grunts when they shot. Gives ya a woody!
  20. I love throwing a Zoom Super Fluke(try the new disco color). Wieghtless with a EWG Super line hook. an work it on top or let the wieght of the hook bring it down to desired depth and jerk it around. The bass can't stand it. I did catch a 5lb 1oz Smallie on an Excaliber Jimmy(chrome/Black back) last september. It looks just like a lucky craft sammy. The kentuckys were goin crazy for it that day too. I can't wait til it cools down.
  21. I think he is saying Table Rock. I agree.
  22. Atta boy!
  23. Thanks for your help guys. I really appreciate it have a great holiday.
  24. Thanks for that report. That is awesome that someone can come on here and get all that information that you don't have to share. I really appreciate what you do in here. I am a novice when it comes to suspended fish. I think that that is probably my weakest technique. Does a wacky rigged worm ever work on suspended fish. Just seems like the presentation would be perfect for that. Just don't hear of people using it very often. Thanks again.
  25. Im assuming that is an external GPS. Is that correct? I have a LMS522. It has internal GPS but im sure hook ups are the same. If I can help let me know.
