  1. I have seen several Crawdads through out the years that are gray and orange. Has any one tried those colors on a jig?
  2. Just saw this post Danger. I would be glad to try them on Beaver if you have any left.
  3. Wow. I knew with all this bad weather that an arguement would get started on here. Lol. It s funny that Phil showed both these guys from You Tube. I am always looking to obtain knowledge about area lakes and Pete,Eric and that Winkiees goofball that makes me laugh are the only guys that post videos about Table Rock. I get a lot out of a story if I have video. I don't know Eric like some of you guys do, but I just took videos for what they where. Didn't read much into them. If I was considering a guide I would do my homework and probably ask around about someone before I booked a trip. As for Pete. I just recently met him when I was at Falcon. He seems like a nice guy and was more than helpful when I asked for his advice. He took his time and showed me spots on a map and recommended things I should use. A lot of people wouldn't do that and really appreciated his help. I guess what im getting at is that those videos along with this forum and any other info you gather are all tools to help us learn to be better fisherman. I need all the help I can get. Stay warm fellas!
  4. So do you stay around the bait fish or get away?
  5. Man. I fished Beaver on Saturday and caught a 3lb LM. That was the only bite I got. I was not happy with just one fish. Guess I should have been thankful after seeing how tough it was on everyone else. I caught mine on a steep secondary point close to main lake on a DD Pointer. There are birds and baitfish all over the Prairie Creek area. No luck in there though.
  6. Do you guys think that it's the cold water slowing the bite or the abundance of easy meals provided by the shad die off? I would think it's the later. If that's true, what techniques would work?
  7. You got that right Quill.
  8. I have more pics I can provide via text. Files are too big to upload to site from my phone.
  9. This is a low hour boat in excellent condition. 90 hp Merc with 55lb Minn Kota, radio lowrance graph and 3 tops. I am selling this for a buddy. Give me a call at 479-530-1450. My name is Jason. $15,500 or best offer.
  10. Now I gotta go spend some more money dang it.
  11. Anyone ever short a partner I would love to give it a try some time.
  12. Yeah I saw a sneak peek at Champs collection. Pretty darn extensive. I would say he doesn't need any more plastics for at least 100 yrs. Lol
  13. How much sir?
  14. One of the guides we talked to at Lake Fork said they would go to Falcon 40 times a year. They don't go any more because it has not been what it used to be. Only so much pressure those fish can take I guess.
  15. The other guy I was with brought his son. I think he had a great time. Hard not to when you get to skip school for a few days and go fishing.
  16. I only fished up in Birch Creek. Had a tip to throw a lipless crankbait and rip it through the hydrilla in 4-6 fow. Sure enough. It worked. Never fished that way before, but I sure enjoyed it. I would sure like to go down there in March or April. I watched a show with James Niggemeyer and he was smoking them on topwater. Believe it was June. There were some close to double digit bass on a spook type bait. That would be fun!
  17. Danger. I ran into you guys at the mexican steak house that was behind the courthouse. I appreciate the help you gave us. We went to that spot where you told us to go and there was 10-15 boats within 500yds of that spot. Lol. I guess the word was out. After 2 days of no fish we decided to go to Lake Fork. That was our 3rd time to Falcon and it was by far the worst trip we had ever had. That was my first time on Fork. We fished for about 4 hours and I caught two good ones. A 5lb 15oz and a 4lb 7oz. I would much rather drive 5hrs to Fork than 14 to Falcon. Thanks again for your help.
  18. 5.1 smallie 2 LM right around 5lbs 50 lb Wahoo . Right by the dam. You can see big paddle boat in the back ground. Lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
  19. Top 5 in my opinion KVD Brent Ehler Skeet Reese Mike Ike Aaon Martens These guys seem to do well no matter where they go. Ehler really proved himself after fishing the Big O last year. I'm sure im missing someone but these are my top 5. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
  20. It's more about looking good and having knowledge of marketing. A lot of these guys have degrees. These companies want salesmen. If those pros can catch fish and be a good salesmen. Then you have a superstar. No offense to some of these pros but they have a network of people that gather info. before every tournament. I would like to think we would all be better with a pre loaded gps card with hundreds of waypoints. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
  21. Same here. I fished Beaver this morning. Dead slick at 7. Then turned really windy after 9. I really struggled today. I tried Indian creek and it was too clear for my taste. Nice to be on the water. Got to see several bald eagles. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
  22. Prairie Creek is pretty popular this time if year. Check there. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
  23. Tell me if you if guys have experienced this? It's early morning and it's super quite. Then all the sudden one of those Herring birds shrieks real loud. That happened to me one time and almost loaded my shorts. Thought I was a goner. Lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
  24. I had a neat experience one time with a raccoon. He was really close to the bank I was fishing. I caught a fish and threw it on the bank and he tackled it and started eating it immediately. Cool stuff. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
