  1. My memory isn't that short. I still remember the fish size 5,10,15 years ago. 'Course I also remember when i paid $0.89 a gallon for gas. Guess this fish size and gas prices are kinda alike. Raise the gas prices and them lower them a little to make ya feel better and shrink the fish sizes and then raise them a little to make you feel better. Wonder what the common denominator in both these scenarios is.....HMMMMM??
  2. Bummer. Did they have the meeting??
  3. .....from anyone that attends the meeting tonight. The 4 hour trip is too far for me. Thanks in advance
  4. I used MikeH's pond fly (beauriful by the way) and on my first cast a decent bass hit it and snapped my leader. I was so mad I about jumped in after it. I was so anxious to throw it I didn't put on heavy enough leader. Was really just seeing how it was gonna throw. Had been standing in the same spot tryin different flys for over 30 minutes. First cast and bam- see ya! What an idiot! Sure wish I had another one.
  5. Yep. Useless. No bass in Mozingo!
  6. Prolly right. But I am looking forward to watch a team move their feet instead of just swatin at the ball when the player dribbles by. ZOU
  7. Agreed! Virtually no negatives from my viewpoint. I'm super excited about this hire. Gettin a coach coming off a Nat'l Championship that probably beat a couple teams that had more talent. That's good coaching and motivating. Don't think we've had much of either for quite a while.. There are still top level players out there that are willing to play ALL aspects of the game which in this day of the "scorer" will still win a ton of games. Good job Alden. Didn't like the Haith hiring and still not really sure where that really came from and wasn't excited about the Mike Anderson hire before that and Quinn was a hire most programs would of loved to try but just didn't work out. This should make some of the older Mizzou supporters happy. I am!
  8. Gettin rain right now. I can hear 'em popin!

Congrats. You all will talk about this day for years to come.
  10. That's a great feelin to be fishin with your son. I have three and have many times just stopped and soaked in the joy of being in the stream with them. How was the fish sizes?
  11. Thanks Nighthawk. Got that covered.
  12. any tips out there for a 14 yr old pretty good fly fisherman's first trip to Dry Run? He and I r both chompin at the bit to go but won't be till first of June.
  13. We've been nightimin a couple times at Taney and will try it on the White as well. Probably be our best bet for a wading brown. Son spends a lot of hours in a treestand bowhunting every year so he knows it can be a fat 0 or a great experience. PM sent.
  14. Current and North Fork r both on the someday list but this was his pick. Prolly b 2015 trips, hopefully! Provided we don't get hooked on the White and Norfork area. We were going to head to Montauk on Thanksgiving but at the last minute decided to make a return trip Taney.
  15. Son likes to do it his own way so he'll probably have the fly rod in hand. never know though. he may look at it as his last chance for a while with college starting this fall. It's his choice.
  16. Got a fishin buddy that was at BSSP yesterday. I'll get the report on how it went today and post later.
  17. We (by "we" I mean my son, I didn't catch any) caught 2 8" browns around Barclay 3 weeks ago.
  18. OK Will do. Thanks.
  19. Goin the 1st week of May so prolly early for the hopper bite. May opt for renting a boat one day, I know we're not there at the best time but it's what we have got to work with. Decided to stay at Rim Shoals Resort. Now tryin to plan where to fish from there and what I need to tie up for that time of the year.
  20. What a SUCKER!!!!! I didn't even notice the date on the post.
  21. Heard on the radio today they said the final four teams have very few transfers. Never thought transfers were much of a way to build a program or a winning team.
  22. The smallmouth and solitude trip will come at a later date. That sounds very appealing. This is sons graduation trip and he wants to fish for a big trout so thats what we're gonna do. Sounds like it's not really the best time of the year for #'s of people or prime for big trout but this the last week of May is the time frame we have to work with. I have a few places picked out but am still open to suggestions before we finalize plans.
  23. Kimmey English. Aw Yes. I can just close my eyes and remember!
  24. Gotta ask. General location?? Looks great !
  25. Born in 1955 so I gues he is older than I thought. Guess that means i am too!
