  1. Shouldn't be a surprise. Our defense especially in the 2nd halfs have been very good this year with the exception of a couple games. We screwed ourselves for the nat'l championship but have shut down a lot of offenses including the hogs who were touted as a top ground game.
  2. Was there Friday, Sat, and Sun, and fishin was pretty good. Friday was really good Saturday was so-so and Sunday was really good. We both had a couple of fish around 2lb fish but nothing really big. I turned a couple big fish but thats it. lots of 10-12 inchers. Wife caught most of hers with a white thread jig or bedspread. Most of mine came on sofrt hackles and griffiths gnat. Got into some larger fish in the falls. Also some stripping c-backs. Lots a leaves and wind but still better than working and definitely better than black firday shopping! We pulled out of the park at 1:10 on Sun. and it was 73 degrees and drove home to 29 degree weather. Hated to leave.
  3. Fixed and works fine. Thanks Phil!
  4. Went to print off maps and pdf file for map#6 isn't coming up correct like the other ones. Am I doing something wrong or is there another way to pull it up to print.? Great maps! Thanks.
  5. Agreed. The best teams at the end of the year may not be the best deserving.
  6. Yep Roaring River Resort is open. Looking forward to 3 days of fishin. C"mon Friday. Even gonna miss the Mizzou game . That hurts!
  7. Thanks for the replies. Will do on the warm clothes. Can always take them off but can't put 'em on if ya don't have 'em with ya. Had two of these on my list and will tie up some adams. Think I'll also try some of the fly swap streamers. Fun when you can see the fish react!
  8. "Black Friday Fishin Trip 2014" will begin next Friday. Anybody been fishin RR?? Maybe sayin Thanks in advance was premature last year but I'll say it again Thanks in advance!
  9. Couldn't watch but followed play by play on app. Pretty tight game til mid 2nd half. Liked the assists by Clark as well as the scoring by him and Ceasar. JWIII hit some threes. Did our defense not look very good? Hard for me to tell.
  10. ok thanks. Appreciate the help.
  11. Let's try this again. Anybody? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
  12. Yep still makes me chuckle too!
  13. I don't get that warm and fuzzy feeling but we just seem to keep getting the job done. Beat UT and the "rivalry" game with Ark may just intensify greatly in it's early stages.
  14. Good improvement from game 1 to game 2. I really think thats what we'll see with Kim. She's a good coach and once she gets our talent level up we'll be back to a competitive level of roundball. No disrespect intended here. LOL
  15. Where is a good place to stay a couple nights after Thanksgiving while fishing RR? I know some of them close up this time of the year. Thanks in advance?
  16. Sounds like he was doing something he enjoyed with someone he enjoyed doing it with. Sorry for your loss.
  17. Gonna be a young year at Mizzou. Not expecting much early in the season but am looking forward to a soundly coached team that hopefully continues to get better throughout the season

    City Trout

good example of how these programs can help our sport.
  19. Very Nice!
  20. Not yet here. We started a new tradition a couple years ago. "Black Friday" is spent fly fishing somewhere. Plan on tryin some of them then. Sure am glad I won't be spending it shopping!!
  21. Looks like our defense has progressed enough to keep us in it and it will be up to the offense to score enough points to win it. I agree with Al the offensive line will probably be the determining factor. M.I.Z....
  22. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
  23. I started my trout fishing at Bennett, then RR, then Taney, then White river, and now have plans to trout fish Colorado next summer. each place different. I don't look down my nose at anyone who fishes any of these type settings. I know some that do. The sooner we all realize it can definitely get worse the better off we are. The city population is rising and a majority and they have the ability to determine what might happen to the programs that affect us country people. If young kids in the city are exposed to fishing favorably its got to be a win win situation. It will probably never be agreed upon on how the dollars should be spent but the fact they are spent on a program that may insure my grandkids can trout fish in Missouti seems good to me. I have long said its not much different than the gun control issue. The "Auntie" in the city doesn't care about us hunters having firearms to hunt with when her son, nephew and the father of her children were killed with a gun. That segment of the population has the numbers to outvote us country folk if they so choose. Sure i would love to see more trout in more natural settings. Its not the same standing on a sidewalk fishing for trout as it is out in a natural setting. But, as someone already said it is a state agency and the urban stocking program caters to a large portion of the state population.
  24. Nice buck. Cool rack. Congrats.
