It is what it is! I hate it but once again money talks. I don't mind them making additional places for people to stay . Not high on "their " choice of location though. Sure would be nice to have more than one very small stretch of stream that can be fished without seeing or hearing cars go by. I may be wrong but I would think that most fisherman that love a more natural and not so commercial setting will still be fishing for years to come as opposed to weekend elbow warriors. I probably am in the minority but sure feel like this point of view is being or desire is being pushed out. As a family that has had a trailer down there at Bennett for over 25 years I find myself constantly and consistently searching for places I can afford to take my family to for peace and solitude and trout fishing. As our fishing adventures stretch out from N.W. Missouri I look forward to discovering the hidden gems I am fortunate to read about on here. Wow! Sorry got on a roll their but I am passionate about things I love. Now to the Royals Game. BE ROYAL!!!!

Maybe a quick hook maybe not. 1 game playoff gets ya no second chance. Been times when Shields falls off quick. I'm not Yost fan by any means but I don't think you can say all of the Royals success this year was attributable to their overabundance of talent despite some of his "questionable" managing. He's done something right. Anyway we're playing tonight so I'll take it. Just like Salvy's hitting lately but i'll take that lucky hit. BE ROYAL!!!

When started hittin good mid-season he just got anxious and started jumping on anything tryin to pull it. See a lot of batters get that way after their first good taste of success at the plate. At-bats and maturity will hopefully fix that. Maybe that was the end of that era for him. I can live with the fact it was just a lucky hit on a bad pitch that got through. I'll take it!!

I was at the game and it was ELECTRIC!!!! Pretty wild ball game. Was totally exhausted when I pulled into my driveway from the game at 2:08 in the morning. I'd be happy if Salvy would just quit swinging at every pitch below his knee's! I'll take the hit last night though. Still not sure how he pulled a low and outside pitch though.

after about 25 years we moved our trailer out of there about 18 months ago. one of the few times I've been on the lucky end of a bad timeline and situation. Feel bad for everyone that's innocent victoms here.

Agreed. One would think the people in charge would not want to dwindle their resource. Benefit of doubt is not a common thing on here while throwing under the bus is.

Poor Spurrier. Ya just know he was talkin to himself and throwin things all night. Just goes to show ya still gotta play the game before ya know who's gonna win. That's why I love college football. Hope my TIGERS have another stunning year. A good "O" line is the best place to start and they're supposed to be strong there. Good running back, receivers that got good playin time last year and hopefully someone will break out as a star. Mauk will do just fine. Once again good "D" ends and a good linebacking crew. "D" backs will have to prove themselves. Should be another great year! M.I.Z.......

NoLuck touched on a factor that makes a big difference for me. I have noticed since using a fiberglass rod some that i break tippet much less frequently. I fish 2 different Fenwick fiberglass rods and hardly ever break it off. These newer fast rods are quick but i find that I give up some forgiveness with them. I have one 5wt graphite that I can't keep from breaking 7x. But I have a 4 wt graphite orvis that handles it just fine as well as the Fenwick FF857 as well as the FL102-8 fiberglass. What tippet works for one rod may not necessarily be the best on another. I never use 8x and do use 7x some. On the other hand I konow a guy that only throws 2x fluro at Bennett and catches more fish than most anyone there. He is mostly stripping but will use it on top also.

Makes me think I will make a sign and put at My favorite pond that says " It can take up to 10 years for a bass to grow to 20 inches, please release the larger Bass so we all can enjoy catching them".

That's on our list definitely but my list is getting longer faster than it's gettin shorter, Bummer. Thanks for ur 2cents. Just found out today we may have the opportunity to stay in a friends house on the Fraser river in Colorado. Looks pretty nice from diggin on the net so far. See, the list keeps growin!

We stayed at Rim Shoals Resort (and loved it) so can't help much on the camping part but we fished up and down the river from there. Had a great time. Thought we did pretty good for the first time. i actually got tons of advice from forum members on where to fish and didn't get to hardly any of it. Just gonna have to go back. Darn!

Yep, our trailer is still down there and we make 6 or so trips a year and probably always will. Just don't seem to get as excited about the fishing aspect there as we used to. After making our first trip to the white earlier this month we will probably swap a few trips to BSSP for trips to the White. Fished the White for 4 days and never had anyone even close by. Nice!
