Cabins are still ok but the water is over the the spring bridge, whistle bridge and can't get to the wood bridge. We drive through a foot of water by the check in station for the campgrounds to go up the hill. Not sure how much longer how much longer the lower camping area #1 will be open. Lots if people fishing from the roads the afternoon. I will try to get some pics tomorrow, too busy today setting up camp.

Pulled a couple of limits from under the dock this weekend, so I say man up and go fishing when ever you have the chance. If I was planning a vaca around crappie fishing then I would say mid April.

Whats up with the bass over running my crappie beds, two weeks ago I could catch a limit of 12inch crappie in about two hours today I conly caught 9 keeper crappie, an I dont know how many ump-teen bass. Yeah sure its kind if a fun fight but man it gets old. It didn't matter what I fished with minnows, jigs, or crank baits they all caught bass. They just about had me to the point to were I wanted to just throw then on the bank and leave em for the crows, but I would not and did not do that, instead I pulled my beds and maybe they will move on out in a day or so. I never been much on bass fishing but with the size of a couple of them I kind of felt like I was Bill Dance, ok maybe they weren't that big but they were a good four or five pounds plus all the 14-16 inchers I pulled out. I hope you guys find them and get them out of my way.

I'll be working the pellet rifle range for MDC Saturday and Sunday come by and say hi.

I've been up there about every other weekend since late march and always bring home a limit of crappie to fry up, during the heat wave I was catching them in 25 fow 10 ft down today it was hard to find a bite, going to let these storms lighten and go drop a few lights and see how the night fishing going

I am new to fly fish butvI went down to Delaware access on Monday and tried to fly fish. I caught a nice two and half on a popped like fly kind of looked like a bumble bee. Caught a few smallie also

I had taken mine out to the james river and caught a little bit of everything including a couple of smallie over 14 and a really nice largemouth around 2 1/2 # that was a blast but I think I need to learn more patients reeling in my catch.

Looks don't bother me as long as its safe. How ever I don't have much cash so looking to do some trading, how would I get more info on what you have.

Were can I rent, borrow, barter, or trade for a cheap canoe? I am not wanting to know of rental/float company that drops you off five miles up river with a bunch of drunks. What I am looking is some to borrow or rent a canoe from to go put in when and were I want and go and stay ad long as I want even overnight. I would even be up for a shared float your canoe and can use my truck to haul or park at the take out. I would also be interested in barring for work or labor for use or ownership. I would even be willing to trade my extra deer rifle for the right one.

Wow can't believe I am just reading this thread, were have I been? First whether or not you can or can not get out of your ticket I do not care. I do however think the agent that gave you the ticket did it for all of the right reasons he seen you do something that he felt was illegal and gave you a ticket in accordance with what he had seen. I have had a simulare experience while coon hunting I shined my light on a group of deer, I had no clue the deer were there until I could identifies their eyes of those as deer, they were on the opposite side of the strip pit I was hunting and every so often when the hunting was slow I would turn and check them out. A passing agent noticed that I was useing a light to see the deer while in passion of a gun "TICKET" even though I had s few pelts on meandering Isaac completely legal to coon hunt I was unknowingly breaking a law. I did take my ticket to court and I did have me ticket thrown out I was completely respectfull to the job that agent had done. He seen me doing something that was illegal and took action that is what he does. I can tell you I now know that it happens again to not keep looking at them with the light on or a gun in my hand.

I have been fishing docks in 20 fow and they have been doing ok at about 10 - 15 ft deep. If you can hit up Truman they have had a good bite going since fathers day, even the night fish under lights is picking up.

Chambug I bought a fly kit at Bass Pro for $50, and went fishing on the finely river. I did go by Walmart check out their equipment then I went to bass pro and I bought the bass pro brand because I feel that the pfulger set was a better product for me. I am already picking out my next one but first I need to get some other stuff. I have no problem buying "cheap" equipment I still use ultralight poles and micro spins I bought at wal-mart many years ago and use them more then I do my more expensive rods and reels, however I do believe quality does cost more money.

Well I got it this morning and went out to the finely river this afternoon, and a cursed alot more then fish, but think I finally got than of it. And I even caught a smallie and a bunch of bluegill, can't wait till I actually get a big oll trout.

Ever think about renting it for the weekend always looking for a place to stay when I go up that away, since the family doesn't enjoy tent camping.

I fished Coffman Beach last weekend and the water is way down, the ramp still goes into the water but about 10 feet out the gravel/mud bar is out of water, I would guess that is no more then 2-3 foot deep right there, some of those docks are on mud. However if you can get arond those dock in 10-15 fow there is some great crappie fishin going on.

any chartreuse colors were working for us I did best using a chartreuse crappie pup with silver flakes, we tried about every color and minnows but green was good. I caught mine by dipping straight down the bottom in tree beds and slowly retreaving the jig letting it bump the brush.
