When my wife died, it cost me over $2000 to have her cremated as per her wishes. It cost over $1000 to have a memorial gathering at the funeral home. It cost me over $200 for an urn for her ashes which I keep on the dresser in the bedroom (can't afford to bury her.) I like the way the indians did it. Wrap me up in some old blankets and lay my body out on a stilt platform for it to rot away and feed the animals. 100 years later, there are no remains left behind that I even existed.

What? No estimate of how much land is wasted for those cemetaries? Really. How many family members go to visit the graves of their dead great-great-great-great-great-great grandparents whose rotted remains are somewhere under some old tombstone that is no longer even legible?

Those of us who really care about the environment in which we live have already scaled back our waste of oil products and contribute less to terrorism. You can keep your big gas guzzeling bass boat and your 8 cylinder truck to tow it. Just don't complain to us when someone in your family is killed by terrorists.

Why would you think you couldn't purchase the car you like? I'm sure Ford, Chevy, Chrysler, Toyota etc. will sell all kinds of cars. They will more than likely be more friendly to the environment than the cars of today or yesterday, but I seriously doubt the notion that the big bad govenment will all force us to drive the same kind of car. Why wouldn't you be able to build the house the way you want? If you wish to live in a cardboard box, I seriously doubt the big bad government will force you to live in an ultra modern mansion. I also seriously doubt there will be any sort of limits to travel by the big bad government. At least not as many limits as the Patriot Act put on us. As long as manufacturers keep making the crap they produce, I don't forsee the big bad government stopping you from spending your hard earned money on that crap. Unless of course it had been deemed to be dangerous. And I see no problem with governmental consumer protection from those manufacturers that don't give a dung our safety as long as they can get rich.
