  1. Am I overlooking Jeff's trip report?
  2. Thank You for keeping us in the loop.
  3. It is a fantastic boat and he really has it tricked out, but it might not be the best boat for the way Eric wants to fish.

    Grand Slam x2

Well, I've had some amazing experiences that other folks set up for me. When I get a chance, I like to help other folks pass a good time on the water. Our friend Richard put me on a trip of a lifetime. He controlled the boat and got me in position to throw. He was thrilled that I caught fish. Every bit as Happy as I was catching them. So, I'm still paying it forward for that one.
  5. What you should envision is me finding a way to get to the middle of the lake where the fish were. #FindaWay
  6. I don't liked getting skunked no matter how pretty the scenery is.
  7. I'm confused why you would be considering rolling the dice on additional spouses when you've already hit the lottery with your wife. It's all downhill from where you are now.
  8. I think Ness is trolling us with the goose vs turkey thing.
  9. I'm loving the re-telling of the adventure. Pretty country. Pretty fish. and Pretty food to be sure. I don't drink alcohol and I don't eat fungi, but I can appreciate both in my own twisted way. the clicker deal helps an honest man tell the truth. I'd lose track of what I had caught in a hour and it's no fun to say "I caught more than 5". I try not to force my madness on anybody else. Y'all do your own thing. sucks that those fish died, but they were going to die one way or the other. They weren't the last ones and it makes a little room for another fish to get bigger. A crow, crawfish, or racoon maybe got them a little snack to help them along. It's a semi closed system; the fish didn't go to waste. As always, I'm loving every installment KOKO

I promise you I am not.
  11. Cilantro tastes like soap to me. I have to pass on that.

    Grand Slam x2

Man, it was a Great trip! I'm thrilled they each got a Slam and I think they both did it in under an hour. It's very satisfying to put guys on some fish. They were sandbagging pretty hard at first, but I saw through it pretty quickly. Eric kept me busy netting his fish and I think Rob had a Brown before I made a cast. I would have loved to have caught a Brown, but it just didn't happen. Cutthroat kept getting in the way. it was interesting to me that the fish catching slowed down a bunch as more and more boats got on the river. The last hour was very slow for all of us. It was a good trip even if it was short. I had to entertain my bride in the afternoon so we came off the water around noon. Still we had time to put about 50 fish in the boat and I learned a couple of new spots.
  13. Ppl are a much bigger problem for floral and fauna than an animal that was once native to this area and had to been re-established in this area due the foolish behaviors of ppl. I'm Team Otter all the way. I much prefer otters over ppl. I have no concerns about the impact of otters on the places I fish. I always have concerns of the effects of man on the places I fish.
  14. I think they are LAZY not stupid. Walleye are tasty.
  15. A guy who gets in over his head.
  16. I don't think that's a new one though and they have a separate line of salmon/ steelhead colors too.
  17. Are the Spro colors better or worst than the Rapala colors? maybe you should drive a little further to North Central Arkansas where fishing pressure is a fraction of fishing pressure on TR. you'll have all new rocks to count and organize by size, shape, and color while you let your little guy soak.
  18. Man, are you double dipping on your HaterAid? I think every color Spro has brought to the market is pretty Good. As I have stated before multiple times, It would be great if Spro released versions in Wart colors even though I think that color can largerly be a con game we play on ourselves. Bill design for deflection, wobble, bouyancy, profile, and the depth the bait runs are all more important than a squiggle here or there or a nuance in the shade of green or Brown. I'm sorry you've had so much trouble with RK Crawlers breaking on you. I've heard of this happening, but so far that bill breakage problem has never happened to me. I'm not thinking the bill breaking of RK's is any worse than the inconsistencies of the original warts. I grind Squarebills in <6 FOW. I grind warts in 4-8 F. RK's get thrown in >6 FOW. Works for me.
  19. That's a pretty bait Champ
  20. You may have it listed in all the appropriate spots, but it should be listed on Bass Boat Central and fishing forums on the upper West Coast and Great Lakes areas. Its a fine looking rig and seems like a great price, but it doesn't "look" like the popular boats in this area. That doesn't mean a thing except folks may be over looking it.
  21. That's a beautiful fish.
  22. He was an outstanding individual just like yourself. He was Disciplined and meticulous with his boat maintainence which I believe came from his years as a private pilot. He built some of his planes and refurbished others to use or resale. His boats were always kept clean and ready to go. There was a place for everything and everything was kept in its place. I could never do that, but I appreciated that he could. humble guy too. He was a very accomplished angler, but you had to drag it out of him to find out about it. Soft spoken and slow to anger, but I imagine he was a handful of you got him truly angry. I'm going to miss him. We are made poorer by his absence.
  23. Let's see how you hold up this Fall thru Spring. I'll do my best to post pics with Rk's hanging out of fishes mouths.
