Shoal Creek Tresspass Closure!
Smalliebigs replied to Chief Grey Bear's topic in General Angling Discussion
If you choose to fight this on your own with whatever attorney you decide upon, I will volunteer to donate some money to the cause. I will also talk to everybody at the Smallmouth Alliance to see if some of them want to chip in either as a group or individually. But the decision is entirely yours, since you're the one with his neck in the noose, and I wouldn't blame you for letting it go. Let us know what you decide. way to go Al!!!! I agree with you %100 and Chief I'll give you a $100 but, let's get him a real attorney. Chief I already told you I need the name of the prosecuting attorney and we'll lawyer up from there. -
I thought someone here might be interested in this, I looked at it and it's in good shape, I just have to many yaks and canoes and not enough garages.I always wanted a Vagabond though. Here is the craigslist add in St.Louis. http://stlouis.craigslist.org/boa/2821256364.html

and don't forget Mitch to have such a group you have to form a seceret forum that only your members can access. This forum would be set up to whine about the OAF forum and so you and your members can sit around making fun of memebers of the OAF forum that you don't care for.Like you said Mitch the initiation is not worth the payoff.

Chief, I couldn't agree more about this going to be a good year and I am coming down to do some creeking with you for sure!!!!.I do love this post on Fridays you do and in honor of you treating that Greenie so bad by putting him on the gravel and dispalying him to world, I have to post some pics. here is the creek that ran thru our old farm i wish you could have come fish before we sold sorry fellas I'm bored at work with a scanner and old pics......1979 looking pretty gay Chief, let's fish this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Andy, thank you!!!!! I was hoping we would hear Paul's opinions on this matter and I agree with everything Paul said. WF, get over yourself!!!! where Gavin took that pic has been a sandy run on the Current since I have been floating thru there....1985 or so and there has always been Browns holding that horrible sandy area.Gavin also had the fish in the water half way in my opinion....some of you trouters need to loosen up your Orvis wading belts I think it's restricting the flow of blood to your brains.Paul Dallas rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best Trout Bait Or Lure Ever...
Smalliebigs replied to Troutguy's topic in General Angling Discussion
Ha....Mitch and I think the same way!!!! Mitch is right I use the same pointers, this color(Silver Baitfish)My link works well on the Current and I use (Aurora Gold) at Taney but, we doctor them up a bit with some paint. We have caught a ton of big Browns from Phils place to the darn on (Rainbow Trout) , they can be tricky to get to walk under water right in current but once you master how too and can get them to walk underwater in current they are sweet. We can get BIG browns to chase them like a muskie around the boat practicly. We use a huge variety of subsurface and floating baits as well. We also use some of the biggest hand tied jigs you would think of making with as long of a tail as you can tie. I rarely fish for trout that aren't feeding on other fish, but I have been flyfishing way more the last couple of years or should I say losing a bunch of very expensive flys tied by THargrove and his boys. It's like sending a ProV into the woods for me....it's getting expensive -
The Perfect Boat For The New Tanneycomo Trophy Section
Smalliebigs replied to Bman's topic in Buy - Sell - Trade
Wow, Bruce you are selling the RiverPro???? as you know I was bugging Kevin for about two years and wanting one bad. They are hard to find used.If you are selling can you PM me an asking price???? thank you Scott -
Sounds like some sweet action......I know that sandy area of the river too well!!!! I have often wondered over the past 15 years or so why there is always a school of Brown Trout in that specific area???? Gavin and Andy you sure know how to make a dude jealous......the eagles soaring upstream as you get up, close enough to hear the feathers, well thats like something out of a movie. Sounds awsome to me, we had similar sucess a week before christmas on the same float but, we stopped @ Cedargrove.

Smalliebigs replied to sitting fishing's topic in General Angling Discussion

Mountain Lion Released At Current River Ca
Smalliebigs replied to hank franklin's topic in Conservation Issues
We ran into a couple Cougars on the West Fork of the Black River once in 1996. They invited us back to their parents river cabin.....we were lucky to escape. Country Cougars can be a little dangerous when you say bye. City Cougars can be quite dangerous as well. If some of you guys are worried about Cougar attacks here is a helpful video that might save your life -
OMG Al, that truly hurts to read that story, we have a place in Terre Du Lac and I fish the upper Big River a ton. I treat the Big from Bootleg to Leadwood as though it were my own property and hold it close to my heart. These pinheads are lucky they don't run into me above Leadwood, it really breaks my heart to hear. I hope it's not true but, it more than likely is. I would have to disagree with the alleged looser that bass taste better than suckers. The more I think about your story of these loosers, over the past 15 years on the Big in the area you are speaking of there have been holes that would hold big bass for some 3 to 4 years in a row and then they are gone???? the holes changed very little habitat wise it's just the bas were gone. Then 3 or so years go by and the bigg bass seem to be back?????
-
"Only caught one with gig scars on it"....... man that sucks, the loosers that gig smallies are pieces of s*hit if you ask me.It's a horrible reality and it seems like a lot of people don't want to own up to the fact we have a bunch of law breakers and there isn't going to be anything done about it until the economy gets better. If you fish the Meramec, Current and Gasconade in the winter like I do you will catch and see smallies that have escaped the gigging attempt.....pathetic loosers.

Mike, What a sweet Mill Creek bow and sounds like she was quite hungry. You also made me hungry with the chicken strips and chocholate pie talk...sounds tasty after walking the creek:have-a-nice-day: I hope you and yours had a Merry Christmas

What kind of warranty claim do you think you will have that will be covered on a kayak???? I have had several brands of kayaks and have never had a problem with a hull in regards to a warranty. There isn't a kayak or canoe maufacturer that covers normal wear and tear on your hull. -
The Mystery Of Winter Smallmouth
Smalliebigs replied to Al Agnew's topic in General Angling Discussion
Now, after seeing the report at the begining of this thread about a tagged fish that was caught way down river from where I caught my tagged fish yesterday I am getting a good feel of our migrating smallmouth. Not saying that all smallies migrate but now with the evidence in front of me I know what and were they go. Just my 02cents worth. I am in 100% AGREEMENT with you Corey.....we fish alot of same areas though -
Maiden Voyage And Smallmouth Fishing....pics
Smalliebigs replied to LittleRedFisherman's topic in General Angling Discussion
yup, I am thinking of letting the My link build me a rig just the way I want. They are good people and river veterans.Sometimes it's best not to advertise that you jet boat on this forum, you may find youself getting chastized. That is a sweet boat though, you won't hear any chatter from me about jet boating. Smallies in the winter are hot action if you know where to go and have means to get there and it looks like you do now......good job -
Questions About Running A Outboard Jet?
Smalliebigs replied to LittleRedFisherman's topic in General Angling Discussion
They create great lift......if the motor was mounted correctly on the transom, they will allow you to get on plane a little faster especially with a lighter hull and they will help you stay up on plane at slower speed from the hulls I have been in that have them on their motors. It's really not dramatic enough to see from the passengers point of view but as the boat operator you tell a real difference. At $100 bucks it's a nice option to have, if you buy a rig from Troutt&Sons in St.James they put one on just for the safety aspect.
