  1. No matter your tastes, free beer is good beer. And as far as Scotch goes, I can rarely be caught (when fishing) without my flask of Johnnie Walker Black. It is the only hard stuff that is a staple in my cabinet. Actually, Johnnie comes around so much that when my son was somewhere between 18 months and two years old and made his first imaginary friend his name happened to be Johnnie Walker. Ole' Johnnie still goes on family road trips with us (the imaginary one of course) and comes over to play now and again. My son is now four and a half. I couldn't help but laugh a couple of months ago when my mother-in-law asked my wife and I, in a very surprised and and inquisitive, half laughing tone if we were aware that Johnnie Walker was in fact a type of Scotch Whisky.
  2. It is a cool handle. Ness is just jealous he didn't think of it.
  3. I show none of the homosexual tendencies above, and like Drew, prefer PBR over many other brews. PBR is far from beer flavored water. PBR actually exhibits a complete robust flavor with a hoppy ending, not that dissimilar from Yuengling and other micro brewed lagers that receive countless raves from your average beer drinker to connoisseurs alike. I drink PBR on a regular basis among a slew of micro brews such as (the whole line of) Mother's Brewing, (the whole line of) Big Sky Brewing Company, Arrogant Bastard IPA, Boulevard Wheat, IPA and their entire smokestack series, just to name a few. I do believe that it is your judgment of beer (and who knows what else) that is watered down, sir. Also, if I may, I would like to ask what your beer preferences are.
  4. How come those LeBron fans are wearing hockey jerseys?
  5. I'll give you $20 to go towards the purchase of this motor, Wrench.
  6. I don't think calling Drew those names, however true they may ne, is allowable on this forum no matter the language, sir. (but seriously: "the kooks have drawn"? WTF?)
  7. Or dip it in your Coors Light after the mountains turn blue and it should be 34*
  8. I bet there is a good story behind that first trout with the funny looking nose...
  9. This is a legitimate concern, that I share.
  10. Geez when it rain's it poors huh? BTW, people of Arkansas, there are easier ways to harvest deer.
  11. What is the big concern for the bugs now after the flood as opposed to before? Is it killing more bugs or more profits with the water being off?
  12. I am glad to hear this. I've got a trip coming together the 26th so I ran out to check my inventory of SDs and CPs. A ton of black and olive in bot and ONE yellow SD wouldn't ya know. Oh well I can't ever get my retrieve speed/cadence to the liking of the fish so I doubt color will be my biggest problem.
  13. Didn't look like a standstill on the NFOW last weekend by any means.
  14. I just found that fly and website via TFM a couple hours ago. Once you get a bunch of those tied up give me some of them.
  15. Budget wise I would look at Sunburst Ranch on the NFOW. They have have several options from tent camping on up. I have never been to ROLF so I am not knocking them one iota, but having been to Sunburst many times I can guarantee you that you WILL NOT be able to find better people or service anywhere. Actually, I just got back from taking my four year old on his first float in the drift boat. My mom was along for the float also and as we pulled into the put in we realized we left his life jacket in our vehicle back at Sunburst. Justin was shuttling us in his vehicle since mine doesn't have a hitch. He volunteered to run back and grab it. He didn't even guffaw or scoff at my stupid mistake. Oh and there was this time too. Plus, he has really cool stickers and shirts for cheap too!
  16. That pier at Orange beach is awesome. You can see bait balls and all kinds of big fish cruising. To catch the bait fish just fish straight down over the edge up against the verticals. We went several years consecutively but doesn't look like we will be going this year.
  17. Not even gonna show up to get autographs?
  18. Nice build for sure. If I ever built one the only thing I would change would be to use one of the 3 position vertical grips so you could collapse it down as applicable and for storage purposes.
  19. I also vote for and would participate in a raffle.
  20. D'oh! Wish I would have known you were coming to Springfield...
  21. It was really good. I had the same IPA (Lil' Helper) and their American Blonde (Tow Head). I enjoyed the IPA much more than that of Bully, Schlaf and Sierra Nevada. It may be my favorite IPA going right now actually. The Tow Head I also really liked. At first sip I thought it was going to be almost too sweet for my liking but it finishes fairly hoppy. I'll drink 'em both again and look forward to getting into some of their other offerings. As sort of a cliff note, Old Chicago has Lil Helper, Tow Head and Three Blind Mice on tap. I only bring that up because Old Chicago has $2 Tuesday where anything on draft is only $2, so it's my favorite way to try new brews (or just to have your favorite craft beer for $2 instead of $4-$8)
  22. In regards to rule #14, is that kind of a penalty deduced for each beer thing or more of a you're DQ'd thing?
  23. Ha, I hear that loud and clear. Although last night I had some Mother's Brewing Co. Lil' Helper and Arrogant Bastard. Most of my friends are light beer drinkers and I will drink anything that's free so I really shouldn't cast the first tall boy. Or something like that.
  24. Why would you go out and buy a lady beer just for the bread? Use a man's beer that should already be in your refrigerator.
