  3. Wooo hooo!!! Nice catch
  4. Am I wrong ?? I think the lake is a place of tranquillity for most and most areas should be kept that way --- think the IDIOTS ( sea skeeters and loud drunkin boaters ) need to have a designated area to do their thing
  5. A great story -- I remember my 1st real catch some 40+ years ago and I was hooked on fishing after that , congrats to the boy
  6. Mike, I had never encounterd what you were talking about till yesterday -- I was fishing a ridge line that streached a 1/4 mile and this boat shows up and started at one end and run the ridge throwing out markers the whole length of it . I thought to myself - thanks bud , hope ya' ok with me running this line too seeing' how I was here first , lol --
  7. Fishing is great!!! Lots of nice 18"ers and above being boated on harnesses and crank baits on all parts of the lake , I sure think the high water the past few years has really helped the fishing
  8. Thankx for the report Salty, I have never fished Pom , didn't know that there were eyes and Musky in there, Wow!! Nice catch!! guess I need to try it out when Stockton is buzy
  9. Thankx Mike, sure enjoyed that hot,hot July weekend you, me and the Eyeman had a few years back . I'm gonna try for some of those 6 to7 pounders like we caught while with you -- thanks agin for the help from us over here in Okie land
  10. I'm taking a trip to BSL for a week vacation to find a walleye or two. I'll be staying in Bull Shoals and fishing that part of the lake. The past few years the lake has been high and wasn't able to make it . I was wondering if the lake was good this year and some ideas an what tactics , colors, depth and areas to try would be a great help -- I'll post my results
  11. Thankx for the report, I've done pretty well this year myself hitting the points , nice to see all those short fish I caught last year growing up to be dinner this year --- that will keep me coming back to stimulate the local economy buying all the stuff one needs to have a great day on Stockton Lake --- keep up the good work MDC "I'll be back " as Arnold would say

    Walleyes

Fished for eyes fri,sat and sun -- limits three days in a row , found them in that slimmy moss using harness rigs , guess all those shorts (14"ers) last year all grew some over the mild winter -- can't wait to get back out there
  14. Dennis, I'm doing my part to control the population, just wish they'd drop length by a half inch
  15. Well made it to the lake finally , wooohooo!! Fished the windy weather but managed to hunt down a few on the points -- ended up with a limit of 16"ers in 2hrs . Fished in 15-20ft using a worm harness and 1/3 of a crawler on fire color at .6 mph --
  16. Thankx , Im making a trip to Stockton this weekend on the hunt for eyes , would like to put in at Ruark one of the days ,just hope the weather will let me get out most of the time

  23. Thanks for the report , glad to here crappie are hitting and you got a bonus walleye
  24. Crappie reproduce in large numbers ,know in some lakes that crappie get overpopulated and eyes are put in to help keep a balance -- would be a great question to ask the Dept. as to why , most walleye don't reproduce well in most lakes around here from what I have herd from biologists
  25. Stockton is a WALLEYE lake , that's why the conservation dept. stocks it and very glad to have a place in the state to catch some hard to find --- you are blessed to have a lake like Stockton so close
