Made my move to California

We are not that far north. We live in Sonora and fish the Stanislaus and Tuolumne Rivers mostly. Soon we will be backpacking to catch more Brooke and Golden Trout...We found some gold too!!! It is an incredible area. We can go from 800' in elevation to 10,000 in about an hour...and they got 15" of snow yesterday and it was 70 degrees at our house...

Took a couple of years to get it done, but finally made it to our little paradise....

California has a lot to offer outdoor wise. We live in Sonora in the foothills of the Sierra. Bass and Crappie 20 minutes down the hill, TROUT and lots of them walking distance from the front door...

Now that we live in California, I can give details...She caught it just above where they take the canoes upriver from Barclay...Ive caught many there, just not that size...

We are starting at Pineville and taking out at Mt. Shira...Clear and Swift sounds good...

Wanting to float from Pineville down. River gage shows its ok above where Indian creek flows in...Indian Creek looked blown out...anyone in that area have an opinion on floatability? Take out at Mt. Shira...Thanks...

After further review...and why we didn't measure we can't explain...It may have been 20"...any suggestions...any way...it was a beaut!

It is a beautiful healthy fish...barbless hooks and released in great shape...

Wife caught this one...only trout she caught...at least 18"...thick fish too...

Makes sense to me...at least more than people intentionally injuring that many fish...I could see someone doing it once...but over and over...really? Thank you for being a voice of reason...and we may be wrong...there could be an idiot who thinks he can personally reduce the bass population...
