Great post and pics. Those pics of the flies spark my interest, is it legal to use rubber in your fly in the upper end??? I was talking with the guys in the fly shop in cabelas they said not legal in parks (fly zone), but they didn't mention Taney. I'm assuming similar regulations for Taney on what qualifies as a fly. I am not partial either way just thought in would make for good conversation?

Just got back, fished mid-lake, it was pretty slow day and a half just a few keepers in the boat caught several small ones. Had our best luck on jig and pig, chompers, or brush hogs. Best luck seemed to be in small pockets toward the backs of coves around structure next to seawalls (weeds, dock supports, transitions, steps, etc.). Good luck!!

I'm glad i'm not the only one that had trouble catching fish. We just fished on Monday a.m., mid-lake, weather scared of many of the boaters, and the fish. Headed back down for Thursday and Friday there's only one way our luck could go. Hey Deep-V, the water is a ton more muddy right now, what are your thoughts? think that could of hurt us. -
I think you'll get the stories no matter what...so what if the brown trout length limit is increased, if it's eaters your after there's thousands of rainbows out there. I haven't met a fisherman that prefers browns over rainbows.

That should be a good time to be there! This will be my first year out of the last three i wont be 10min. away, since i graduated from COFO in the spring. I dont know what to do with myself this fall.

Another thing to think about is, that world record rainbow is likley a triploid fish escaped from a near by hatchery. The genetic modification allows them to grow larger and quicker than normal.

What are everyone's thoughts on what the big fish do during generation. I was fishing around several big fish between outlet 2 and outlet 3 yesterday, they opened up two, so I stayed around the same area but it looked like the big ones disappeared. Thanks

How much has the DO improved since the hatchery's remodeling, with their new liquid O2 injection system? I know they only use it when they have to but I don’t know if it affects the lake any? Also what about encouraging plant growth in certain areas (CO2 + Water + Sunlight -> Oxygen + Sugar + Water
