  1. Glad to have you and we look forward to your reports. Dano
  2. Ditto. I wish Arkansas still used them. I am not sure any state still issues a stamp. Dano
  3. The FAQ page says you can print on your own paper, but will look like the old yellow ones What will be different about fishing permits bought through e-Permits? Permits will continue to look the same, but anglers will print them on their home printers using regular printer paper instead of traditional yellow permit stock. and the price drops to 1 dollar to do so Will e-Permits carry a "convenience fee" for purchasing online? Beginning March 1, 2011, the date e-Permits goes into effect, the convenience fee for purchasing permits online will drop from $2 to $1.
  4. Lets hope its for a more admirable reason. Maybe its to keep the level of service the same instead of having to cut any. Dano
  5. What's important is the conservation permit number you are assigned. Its attached to your ID, whether a state drivers license or state ID card. He can check via computer or to his radio dispatch whether you have one or not. Dano
  6. I just posted this on a thread that Al started about old books: Just seems something "obscene" about not being able to turn pages, highlight a quote or write in the margins. Dano
  7. Related...do any of you use the Kindle or Nook to download titles? Just seems something "obscene" about not being able to turn pages, highlight a quote or write in the margins. Dano
  8. I have to agree. While a 7wt might be considered overkill in some instances its nice to go with a little more rod "just in case". You'll find that throwing meaty wind resistant hair bugs and poppers are a little easier with the heavier wt rod and line. Dano
  9. I have quite a few of the Allen Hooks. They are TMC and are very adequate. Dano
  10. Visit your local Walmart store. Each store has a green team. They might be willing to help with donating bins or providing a cash donation. See the Manager. Dano
  11. Glad to have you Dave.... Dano
  12. Glad you joined us. Looking forward to your reports. Dano

  14. Ok, of course I know Kellers, just didn't put you with it Bobber. Good luck on your new location and I'll drop by one of these days.
  15. What was your place on 7? Can't place it? Dano
  16. For future reference: Got this from Justin at Allen Fly Fishing.. Hi Dan, 1. Take off the o ring on the spindle 2. Take off the bearing nut and flip it upside down 3. Put the o ring back on
  17. Anyone tried to switch the retrieve on the Trout series reels? Dano
  18. See ya'll Saturday.... Dano
  19. Nice report thanks for the pics and sharing. Dano
  20. I like to use barbless hooks primarily for the simple reason as not to be caught by the "man" and fined heavily for use in a restricted area despite the fact I have "pinched" them flat. As to whether there is a higher mortality rate with released fish I don't think so, or that has not been the case from my experience. Dano ps...welcome to the forum.
  21. First Charlie....what the heck is an OFF season..... A sage once told me that if your wader boots are dry then you "ain't fishin'" enough. Outside of that, once they are dry, I think storing them in a wader bag will be fine. I keep mine in one that has some mesh so it still allows air to circulate. Dano
  22. Welcome, glad you registered. Dano
  23. I've got some old mucelin that I use for both the line and leader... Dano
  24. May the Joys of Christmas abound for you. May you be showered with Good Tidings and Health in the new year. This is my wish to all of you during this special time of year. Please live each day to the fullest. Reflect on the good and disregard the bad. Keep your head held high and be blessed in what you have and what you have to give. Be reminded of those that are sick, those who are hungry and cold, those that are without shelter. Never count yourself out and remember always that you are important to someone and are loved by many. God be with you all. Dano
  25. Here's to another trip around the Sun.
