  1. I am glad to see some interest after posting originally. I absolutely would participate. Thanks Phil! Dano
  2. Thanks for the post snagged. I was one of the helpers in the first CFR event in Arkansas a couple of years ago held at Gaston's resorty. It was a combined Arkansas and Missouri event. The last couple of years they split up the two states becasue of all the applications they get now from these ladies. Pat Hummert and his wife Patty from St. Louis were instrumental in getting that first event organized. They now are involved in the Missouri event. It was such a pleasure participating in the activity. Its one well worth it charity that I don't have a problem helping or contributing. They can always use flys and such.... Dano

  8. When fishing Zebra and or other migdes is there a standard you use to determine which color is best under certain daypart lighting conditions, ie: is a black zebra better in the morning during low light, or say in the afternoon during bright sunny conditions. How about red, olive, etc....Dano

  13. John, does the P and P have a copper bead as well?
  14. That ugly zebra may be the one phil talked about in his newsletter this month. Green thread, black bead, black wire, brown throat...that is what the picture looks like on that site of Gary's flies in the above url. Although I think Phil said the green one was tied with green wire..Dano
  15. Andrew I have a pair of waist high waders I have used on Taney for years, and (knock on wood) never filled them up by wading to deep. You just have to be careful, but that is the case with any waders. Its always been my contention that if I am wading above my knees I am probably wading where I should be fishing... Dano
  16. Trout Crack is right here on this forum at http://ozarkanglers.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=559 Dano
  17. If you have an evil grin on your face as you tell your wife about the great shopping at this hot vacation spot called Yellstone Park, you just might be a troutbum.
  18. I have had luck using conventional tackle in both the heads and tailouts of riffles. Typically a gitzit fished in those areas have produced. Interestingly enough is that plastic worms are effective in the deep pools along the bluff sides of the Buffalo River. Popping Bugs along the shallow banks early in the morning and late in the day have worked for me while fly fishing for smallies. Also wooley buggers stripped through the pools also seems effective....Dano
