  1. Lob B is sold. Lot A and B are still available, and would ship them to you for $25 each. If anyone wants to mix and match that would be fine too. Thanks.
  2. Shoot me a price tyd thanks How about $18 shipped? That would be for the Mcstick 110 in spooky shad and the Sammy 85.
  3. Lot B sale is pending. If it doesn't go through I'll let you know. Otherwise I can take the McStick 110 from A and Sammy from C for you if you'd like. Then I will update remaining lures afterward.
  4. 3 lots of lures for sale. I would also be willing to trade for smaller sized jerkbaits, specifically looking for pointer 65 dd and IMA foxy fry. I'm willing to ship but I'm located outside of Fayetteville, so could meet anyone interested here in NWA. Feel free to make offers though pm. Thanks. 5. How does the river look post-flood? Any major changes or new hazards you know of? Is 1100 cfs a decent flow for fishing out of a canoe? Thanks.
  6. One more book I thought about is Fresh-Water Bass by Ray Bergman. Has a whole chapter on Bass of the Ozarks, he does a float down the White River before the dams, and the Buffalo. Plus color prints by Fred Hilderbrandt. Probably out of print, but worth looking to find a copy.
  7. Goodbye to a River by John Graves. Down the River by Edward Abbey. The Founding Fish by John McPhee.

  10. Hack- 2 [ intrans. ] use a computer to gain unauthorized access to data in a system : they hacked into a bank's computer. So what they did is kind of like, exactly the dictionary definition of hacking. I think that is why the term "hacked" is used.
  11. Chief, In the Elk river system are there northern rock bass, shadow or both? I find it difficult to distinguish between the northern and shadow. For example is this a shadow bass or northern rock bass?
  12. jet boats
  13. The world record Ozark Bass came from Bull Shoals. The Ozark Bass is very similar to the Northern Rock Bass, I think they were only considered separate species since the late 70s. But the few times I've fish BSL, I haven't caught one either.
  14. So its an octoroon bass.
  15. Wow, that is a big bass. Did you get a length on it? Has a nice pre-spawn gut on it.
  16. well actually high population states, like New York and New Jersey add more tax revenue than they do tax spending. While states like Missouri and Louisiana spend more federal tax dollars than they generate. You can view the chart here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_taxation_and_spending_by_state Its the taxes the federal government gets from big cities that make things like fixing the levees in New Orleans, and farm bills possible in the first place.
  17. I was hoping someone with firsthand knowledge would respond to this, but all I can offer is that I once talked to a guy who went to Batesville and said that he got into some good smallie fishing. Don't know if he was above that dam there or not, I really don't know that much about that section of the White, as there is lots of good smallmouth habitat between NWA and there, and don't have a boat for that kind of river. I've also been curious about the confluence of the Little Red and White rivers. You'll sometimes hear or see folks catching good smallies in the Beaver tailwaters, down around Houseman to 62 bridge, on occasion. I figure there has got to be a zone in there that bass can do well in, and feed on those stocker rainbows, esp when the weather warms up. I've fished some of the oxbows off the lower White, down around Clarendon. darn-good fishing if you catch it right, but its been a long long time since I've been down there. My dad once caught a walleye in the main river down there 20+ years ago.
  18. I caught a rainbow on a skirted jig/craw combo while fishing for smallmouth. I've also caught one on a craw crank, a live target 2 1/8", but I know people target browns with warts, cause I've seen them, but haven't had success with it myself. The Rapala DT series will also work. Also seen rainbows caught on 5" senkos.
  19. I love lost valley, and those are some great photos. One of the first hikes my 3 year old did in which we didn't have to carry him most of the way. Course we only made it to that pool/waterfall on your 3rd photo.
  20. Those look like nice rods. What kind of reel seat does it have, can't tell based on the info on their site? I've gotten use to the exposed blank reel seats, especially for jigs.
  21. Sounds good, except I'd change those catfish fillets into sacalait. Love me some good boudin. 'Course I could just go with a cooler of beer, and a table full of steaming hot, spicy crawfish with some corn on the cob and artichokes cooked in with the crawdads.
  22. I think in this case they are referring to the one in Hayward, WI. http://www.freshwater-fishing.org/
  23. Do you not find that since fluoro sinks it effects the action of your top water lures? I love Seagar line both invizx and abrazx, but use McCoy for top water and spinning gear. I do like the extra clear lines. For a cheaper line, I like Stren original clear.
  24. I think you can, but it has to be on a longer rod than 6'. Loomis makes a couple of 802C's -on a NRX and GLX blank- and they are 6'8", medium power, extra fast action, and rated for 1/8 -3/8 oz lures. That extra fast tip should help in accuracy, maybe make up for the longer length? I've seen one in action, and it will cast a 1/8 oz jig + trailer as well as any baitcasting rod I've seen. The down side is obviously the price tag. If you look around you might find some rep samples, holiday sales, etc.
  25. Yep, they do make a great pizza. Also have really good wings.
