Girlfriend and I took a road trip out to visit areas around North Fork and Bryant. Wow...what a mess. Got brave and drove down to Hebron Access. First time seeing both waters and man were they moving. Suppose we will have to go back in the future to see how nice they really are.

Born and raised in Jeff Co. so my vote is for the Big River. Traffic? Probably not as much as the Meramec, but you never know. No matter what the choice is I think you'll win! Weather permitting.

It's all about good times, and it sounds like you guys had some.

Well, thanks guys for saving me a lot of time and effort. Sad such a nice looking creek has a luke warm reputation.

Was wondering about this water. Looking at the upper end, but since I know VERY little about this creek, I thought I would ask the men who live around or spend time fishing on it. Heard about the trout on the lower end but have a curiosity about the creek in general. Any info is appreciated.

To many people have no respect for others nowadays HW. I would not be to trusting to deal with anyone who was knowingly trespassing on my land, cause you don't know what type of person/people they really are. I think firing off some close target shooting rounds may teach them to mossie on. I wouldn't tolerate it.

There are so many great ideas out there to enhance the Smallmouth experience, BUT it all comes down to the state making the regulations. South Dakota has the pheasants and Arkansas has the ducks and northern waters have the walleye and Muskie. These bring a lot of tourism dollars to those states, and considering what this country is going thru financially, how about thinking in that direction. Also, would keep anyone from taking out to many or even illegal to keep a SM. Plenty of other tasty fish in the rivers and streams. I know the pressure could increase but, IF the state did it correctly, on even just a few waterways, well....just another thought added.

From my understanding of "redneck", it comes from a time in the 1920's/30's when the coal miners were fighting the big coal companies for better wages or unionization in around West Virgina and they wore red handkerchiefs around their necks so that they could distinguish who was fighting for their side. There were gun battles and times for those folks were very hard. So if that is what a real redneck is, then where can I sign up?
